You do not want to learn GTO, you are a beginner. Walk before you can run. What don't you get?

Agreed. GTO after ....a year. Maybe more....maybe less.....but most certainly not now when you describe yourself as a beginner.

"learning" GTO at the micros is a complete waste of time. If you want to get the basic idea of GTO, learn balanced preflop ranges. Pay attention to how much other players deviate from the balanced ranges (i.e. too loose or too tight given position) and adjust to or attack those mistakes.

One of the tenets of game theory is that exploitative strategies are also inherently exploitable. GTO play tends to minimize the degree to which you can be exploited, which also means it is not the maximally exploitive strategy when playing unbalanced opponents.

In the vast majority of games you will encounter, GTO play is not your best approach. You will typically be playing players who have observable and exploitable leaks, and playing a strategy that is indifferent to villain tendencies is basically giving away equity.

If you learn GTO then you won't learn exploitive play, which is where the money is against all beginning to intermediate players.
