Advise about 4 table shootout

I'm asking for any advise for a modified shootout tournament. The tournament is a $135 buy in with a rebuy in the first hour of play and then a $100 add on for T20,000. 15 minute blinds. We start with T20,000. Itop 2 or 3 players take their stack to the final table 'm open to any advise but some of my concerns are, should I wait to buy in at the break. I'll have T40,000 at 200/400/200 ante??? And are these tourneys played as single table tourneys or better to play like a regular mtt??? Should I be looking for spots to just shove or is there a lot of play in these formats??? Thank you in advance. And I'm open to any other advice as well.

you're asking a lot of stuff, but giving us half the details to work with. you say it's a shootout, but then you say the top 2 or 3 players move to the final. which is it? if it's one or the other, that's bonkers. you say you start with 20k, you tell us how often the blinds increase, but you don't tell us what the structure looks like. it's a potentially interesting question/format, but nobody can give you a reasonable answer
