​I’m playing turnaments and SNGs all my life, but due to my work, which takes about nine hours of my day, I don’t have as much freedom that I used to have. So I decided to switch to cash games.

I would like to know which are the biggest adjustments i will have to make, in order to be a successful cash game player?

Lots of folks don't change a thing but IMO they are targets since their range is 'easier' to define and they have a tendency to allow themselves to be bullied a bit more than the average cash player.

In general cash games play 'wider' simply because you can re-load and you shouldn't be as concerned about accumulating 'all' the chips ... and of course the blinds don't go up. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't pay attention to short stack scenarios or change your game to the point you are uncomfortable during a hand.

And of course ... you can blow through a lot of cash in one night as opposed to the 'comfort' of a fixed entry fee.

I've always considered the first 4-8 levels of most tournaments as 'cash play' anyway so you might find yourself quite comfortable in that sense depending on your style. GL

I think the biggest difference between tourneys and cash is the structure.

Theres no increase in blinds so the action isnt exactly forced on you. You can get up and leave whenever you want. You can sit for hours and not play a single hand if you want.

Well if the guy next to you has big time BO you are not locked into your seat for hours on end in a cash game.
In general I find cash players both more patient and more skilled then tourney players.
I also think the is luck/ to skill ratio is a lot higher in tourneys.
IMO there is nothing worse then playing 8 hours of pretty solid poker and getting Ko'ed without a payday.

Probably the biggest mistake tournament players make moving to cash games is that they overvalue TP. When the blinds get relatively big compared to the stacks, TP is often a hand you're going to drive hard. In a cash game with 100 BB stacks, TP is a big underdog on the river in most situations.

Main adjustment is learning how to play poker

You can't just make a hand and try to jam all the money in, you have to play multiple streets, pay attention to range, changes in board texture etc. Most tournament hands end pre or on the flop, with cash you have to learn how to play the turn and river.

Don't let you stack dwindle - top it off.

I would also like to know which poker site is the best, in terms of rakeback and traffic on the low and mid stakes. Personally I prefer winamax and partypoker (stars and 888 are unavailable in my country) because they have a solid software. I really don’t like iPoker and similar sites with their ****y software, but if there is one with good rakeback deal please let me know.

also, I would like to point out that i have played cash games in the past, but just for fun, here and there. I played zoom on stars and i was breakeven after 200k hands, so obviously i have to learn a lot before i can start my cash game journey.
