I began playing poker a few months ago. I started on full-ring 2NL because I thought that was the default. But then I got the The Grinder's Manual and since it's focused on 6-max I decided to switch to 6-max temporarily, planning to learn the earlier positions and other differences later and then go back to FR. It turns out I much prefer playing 6-max.

I played some tournaments when I started but stopped when I realized I was bleeding money, and since then have been focusing on cash. Now that I'm doing better at cash, I'm thinking of mixing in some tournaments again. However, I noticed that at Pokerstars the vast majority of microstakes tournaments (the ones listed under Sit-and-Go) are FR. Why is that the case? I suppose that in live poker it makes sense for casinos to focus on FR, but why aren't there more 6-max tournaments online?

Should I just bite the bullet and go for FR tournaments?
