5NL Ignition Zone: Why am I doing better from EP/MP than CO/BTN? 5NL Ignition Zone: Why am I doing better from EP/MP than CO/BTN?

So first things first. The sample size I'm working with is 2824 total hands with 529 hands where VPIP = True. I know this is an incredibly small sample size, but I'm leaking and I'm trying to identify some of these leaks.

I know that my all-in EV is at least what I think is significantly below my net$won line which I interpret as me running above average on variance. One leak I've identified is I'm too tight from the CO, folding valuable suited connectors and gappers. But this in and of itself doesn't contribute towards my downturn.

I'm running at 267 bb/100 from the EP over 53 hands, 145 bb/100 over 82 hands from MP, but I'm running 74 BB/100 over 82 hands from the CO and 82 BB/100 over 130 hands from the BTN. Leakbuster has identified a low 3bet% as one of my biggest leaks so this could be the whole of it, but I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I've looked closely at my C-betting and while I definitely err on the side of aggression in this department, it's not crazy. Overall I'm cbetting at just under 73% from these 4 positions and while I've definitely identified some bad c-bets, they are just a handful. I've broken my Cbets down by position and don't see anything out of the ordinary.

So my question is does anyone have any experience with this as I am very new at doing this kind of detailed HM2 analysis that can point me to some potential common leaks for beginning players in these games like myself, or am I just being an idiot and this is just variance I'm experiencing and I'm looking for leaks where there aren't any? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You need at least 10x as many hands as you've played to make any conclusions. You happened to run nuclear hot from EP for one session, it'll happen.

You answered the question yourself. The sample size is too small and the differences between your positional win-rates can probably be solely attributed to variance.

I'm not sure about using the vpip == true filter. Note that adding hands can reduce your win-rate when you do it this way, so looking at your win-rate this way may be misleading.

Don’t even look for leaks in a database that small.

Just look at individual hands and the theory behind your strategy in that hand.

Maybe take a peek after 20k hands.

As others have said, your sample size is way too small to draw any conclusions.
FWIW, I've had stretches of 10,000 hands where I won in the SB, but lost on the button. Variance gonna variance.
