Do cards that you draw, get reshuffled and redealt if you discard them?

For example;
52 card deck
6 players
5 cards each thats 30.
all 6 people discard 5 cards?

?

Do they shuffle the empty deck again and redeal?
or are cards magically appearing
or just other examples when you have used over 52 cards.

Just curious because i'm trying to do odds and math and it doesn't stack up and I want to know if i'm counting other cards that people have discarded etc.

If you run out of cards then you generally reshuffle the discards, but it's going to be game specific, stud for example uses a community card. But this is rarely if ever going to come up in practice and it's not actually going to affect odds/math in the slightest

thank you man i thought so (Y) that can also be good to know that they have discarded x-cards and x-cards may return to the game + x-pairs etc which can effect gameplay in 27 triple draw. awesome!!!

Are you even allowed to discard five in triple draw?

I'm pretty sure you COULD, but if the hand was THAT bad, you wouldn't have wanted to continue with the hand in the first place. The likelihood of six people ALL discarding every card so they could continue is next to nil.

If you want to, you can have a total of 20 cards in a single TD hand.

I've not played much if any low draw but I know in some variants you can't change them all, couldn't recall if it was this variant, or if it's certain house rules etc

Badugi you can redraw on, in 8 game the only cards you discard on a variant is 27 triple draw. Stud you just draw cards, which can be played 8 handed with 7 cards or 27 single draw etc.

8 games only discard based game is 27 triple draw, the rest are 7 cards or 4, or 2 holdem plo8 etc but im pre sure you know that already, lol meaning the games where you just draw cards and don't discard are stud, games you can discard and redraw are 27 and badugi (but badugi isn't 8 game).

you can't change what cards you are dealt in stud, but you can in 27. and the only time you would discard 5, is if you are on the (blinds) which technically doesn't exist but does is checked around(limped into)... lol oh and razz you can't discard either you are trying to get the best low hand out of 7 cards and in stud you are trying to get the best high, high low is like playing 7 card omaha hi/lo but without a board, with some face up cards and you can't discard either. go play some 8 game or something when you are bored just micro stakes its good fun to learn new variants.

back to your question, maybe at some live games house rules has a cap of 3 discards. on pokerstars you can discard as many as you want. but personally I wouldn't know out of 6 years playing poker i've only ever seen one 8 game running live and it was $5/10 before I even played mixed.

House rulings are always different, but both on PokerStars and the WSOP tournaments allow players to get 5 new cards if they want to.

Raising pre and then discarding 5 is like the old shove of honor.
