I got 3 great hands in a row.
AA, AK, and JJ
I raised 3-4BB
Everyone always folds
3 huge hands in a row, all I get is the blinds.
I then got AK again.
This hand, I did not dare raise PF.
I limped, and one guy bet out on Flop, Turn.
I just called.
On the river, I bet 50% of pot, and everyone folded.
Finally made money by limping.
Only the best starting hands win more than the blinds in the long run. Pretty much KK+, AKs can earn a share >pot. The rest only win a fraction of the blinds.
Full stack poker isn't about winning huge pots all the time.
Your reasoning is incredibly results orientated. Whether you won or lost shouldn't be a consideration in any given hand when assessing how well you have played. Variance is huge in poker so judging your play on the basis of a few hands is never going to be worthwhile. Try to think about making the +ev play only. Will limping AK result in positive expected value in the long term or a more positive expected value than raising say 3x?
