Merry Christmas guys May all your doomswitches be turned off and run good against everyone.

p.s. I think I was tilt/spewing yesterday, alright if I ever continue after a 3 BI downswing without taking a break I'm gonna punish myself by regging to 3 9man limit 1.50 sngs.

I decided to take shots at 5nl via 20€ free ticket at FTP and also at PS. My ticket lost half of its value but ended up winning a bit at pokerstars. Still did quite well in terms of EV.

Here are some hands:
Hand 1: Is 4bet PF not convincing enough that i have a big PP?

KK: Bet turn. X/C makes no sense. He has no bluffs, anything that does bet, calls and you give him the chance to check back with a 9 - especially a weak 9.

Hand 3: Why are you 70bb deep?

What is with this flop and turn sizing?? Far too big for a flop that you have little to no FE on. If your trying to "pick up the pot" a standard 60% PSB will do the job.

Still the rake is pretty damn high in the micros at FTP so you're paying 6.7% rake and getting 20% back of it

Now if you look at PS 2NL you pay 3.5% rake so even if you get 12% back as silverstar you'll have more money than paying 6.7% rake and getting 1.3% back for 5.4% rake

So it's cheaper to play on Pokerstars even getting 1/3 of the rakeback from FTP

It's only worth playing on FTP if you have 25% rakeback and play 25NL or higher as the rake is getting capped more often

But if you play a lot of 25NL you might want to consider switching to PS for the SN next year soo
Thanks for reply & info Merry xmas.

Set a stoploss for the session, and for when you MUST move back down and stick to it.
I agree with Dunna, I would say 20-30 BI for up to 25nl.

Since it's rush, i just felt that he had me beat with a set. If it was full ring, i would be happy to go broke on that hand. I decided to minimize dmg and just check/call. But i am being extremely results oriented again. Like hand 1, i don't like the hand he called all-in with. I represent AA/KK and he calls with pocket tens.

Was my first day at FTP. They offered me a "Bet pot"-button, but i think i'm gonna set it to 80%. Also didn't get auto-reload to work yet.

personally I'd say this is a fold analyzing it, but in that position I'd call just cause its aces and "it's only 2NL". regs at 2nl tend to do stuff which make me go "wtf did he just do", shoving with TPNK, middle PPs, and nonsensical hands. he def has QQ,KK, or a set imho.

if you don't mind a few dorrars call, if its a notable chunk of your BR I'd say fold.

Thanks, actually just started watching Coaching Kristy as found a post ages ago saying that was a good series

Chad - the only info we have is he's not full stacked right? Yes he may have a set, but that's like 11% chance i think, so there is waaay more chance he does this with Jx or overpairs
Yes, normally we can fold to aggression at the micros cox players don't bluff much, but you know as well as I do that at this level they also view TP or overpairs as the nuts.

You also have to put about $1.30 into bout $2.60, so with those odds I think you gotta go for it
