Take a look at: http://www.parttimepoker.com/poker-c...aining-reviews for reviews of these sites.
Imho, some of the books you have mentioned are either aimed at live poker, or too dated. Pro NLHE vol 1 is a cracking book, but a good deal of the examples are utterly useless.
Try The Poker Blueprint... Best book I have ever read.
And the above training sites I think would serve you well. I too find myself getting distracted when i read books, so I find it better to sit infront of my screen and watch the action unfold.
Deuces Cracked btw is my top tip.
Awesome post man, thanks. I'll check this all out. So I take it your answer is a yes then, lol. Cool.

200-400NL From 50? **** man, please no. Noooooo.
Dude take it from me, there is one thing I can teach you for free. Never, ever, ever x 11 billion, step beyond your bankroll. I jumped into higher levels because I had money at the time. I wish I had started at $2NL and stayed there until I was a winning player. Could have paid off half my college loans with what I've lost. Besides, you can make substantial money at 50NL.
Second - you never can read too much IF the book is worth reading. There is always a ton to learn outside of the game. You have to continually evolve, especially now. I believe poker will always be there in some form. I believe it may see a 2003-5 heyday again. But I would imagine it's very tough right now outside of drunken donks in AC.

Cool, another vote for it. Alright, other than GutShotDan's excellent suggestions, anyone else have any good recommendations? Or advice in general?
