I ****ed up!

Usually I convert US money into CAN money on pokerstars then withdraw.

I did a thoughtless withdrawal and I withdrew US money in my Canadian bank, what's going to happen?

I wouldn't like to receive us money, or lose money since it's worth more. What's going to happen when I tell nothing to the bank?

As a general question, what's the best way to get the best of the exchange rate withdrawing?

I don't know who would give you the best exchange rates, but I wouldn't worry about losing money when depositing to your bank. Banks are pretty smart about money - that is their business. If you give them one currency, they will convert it to the appropriate currency. I'm sure there will be some charge for an exchange, but typically banks are better than other parties - so probably better than Pokerstars might be.

Just imagine if this weren't true. People in Canada could just take all their money to US banks and get $1 US for every $1 Canadian. It just doesn't work that way. The fact that both countries call their currency dollars doesn't mean they are treated equally. If you deposited 5000 Mexican Pesos, you wouldn't expect to get 5000 Canadian dollars, anymore than if you took 5000 Canadian dollars to a Mexican bank you would expect a lot more than 5000 pesos.

Just check out your bank account and look at the transaction. If it doesn't seem right, contact the bank and get it explained. Make sure to find out how much (if anything) they charge for the currency conversion, and also see what Pokerstars would charge. In the future, use the best one.
