Glad you like it.

I wasn't the first to mention it in this thread but I much prefer it to good ol' 'Stove.

How does Equilab compare to Combonator? That's been my Stove-on-steriods choice for awhile now.

Yeah, I like Combonator, too.

Equilab is free, of course. (I think Combonator has a free version but the full version is paid for).

Equilab also has the ability to deal with a number of players whereas Combonator (unless it's changed) is essentially heads up.

Equilab also has a cool quiz feature called the Equity Trainer.

Well worth a look if you're into that kind of thing.

You can download Pokerstove from pokerstove.com.
Just press the Download Zip button and then just extract the win32 .exe file!

Simple!

I also find Flopzilla to be extremely good.

Can someone confirm this is legit & that the original developer has done the updated version?

It is legit.

andrewprock is the original developer and pokerstove.com redirects to his code repository at GitHub

Its main problem is that it's not Equilab.

It says that this version of Pokerstove has expired, go to their site and grab a new one. There site is really complicated and doesn't make it easy to download. Help me please?

Pokerstove is nice now because it can do a lot of different games. That's a huge advantage.

More games isn't an advantage when you only want it for holdem. Also is there not an omaha version of equilab?

edit - It does

If you meant another game then lol no one plays any other games

Cool.
I didn't know that.
Thanks for the update.

So really comes down to what games OP is playing. If Holdem, I'd still suggest at least trying Equilab - nice interface (imo), can save named ranges, equities for every possible card on next street, and equity trainer make it a pretty neat tool.

(And if OP wants Omaha, there's Equilab for Omaha, a separate program.)

I will try Equilab for sure, but it would nice if I could find an easy way to download Pokerstove as well.

And where can one now obtain a free copy of Pokerstove that isn't expired?

It appears to have been moved to here, in the process of becoming open source:
