whether the site allows you to withdrawal. whether the site isn't super user infested

don't you think a big bonus is important to recs?

^^ Not really. Bonuses, RB etc are more important to serious grinders/online pros.

rec players play for fun.

serious rec players play for fun, but are knowledgeable as well.

Both want to win (because losing is not fun) but financial gain is not really important.

I've just complied my earnings ready to file my UK tax return next month...

I've made about $200K in the last 12 months and I've made about $1K playing poker online

DUC where I'm going with that?

Would you buy tickets to a boring movie and sit through it for two hours just because there’s free pizza at the end?

I guess with recreation, there’s also a law of diminishing returns. If you have 16 hours of disposable time every day, it’s hard to fill them all with exciting stuff and maybe playing poker is less bad than watching reruns on TV. But the majority of people have a limited amount of leisure time, mostly in the evening or on the weekend, and would prefer to spend that time doing something they enjoy. If you spend that time playing poker even though you don’t have fun doing it, you might have a gambling problem.

Unlocking bonuses doesn't provide much fun.

Waiting months to unlock "my" 50 cents is even worse!
Those 2500 points will take me around 3 months to unlock the "bonus": But maybe I'm only lazy and not recreational!

Big bonuses are so much less important than instant bonuses that get people to sign up and use the software.

I think the ease of getting money on there and the availability of games is what matters to them. They want the experience of gambling.

If I am a recreational poker player who is not super internet savvy, which kind of describes me, the second part anyway, then bitcoin deposits and withdrawals are off the table for me. I have no idea how to buy them or set up a wallet of anything. I just know they exist basically.

If I can’t deposit with a credit card then it’s a no go. Or at least a WU transfer. Something relatively simple. I take the game a lot more seriously then a rec so I wouldn’t call myself one but I think they would think along them lines when picking a site.

two most important things is, can i get paid, and are the games soft enough to make it worth my time to play. go from there first.
