it would be so easy for leroy to use one of his gimmicks however what you should have done was specify that:
a. noone who posts ITT can post a thread (otherwise I'll just go post a PLO8 hand I played recently out of spite)
b. poster must have a reg date before today
c. you can convince a mod to do an ip check on whoever posts
d. I dunno...but it seems like a d is required.

The ten bucks means nothing to me. If the community, including the little green men (in BQ and Micro Limit), feels you acted honorably and according to the simple easy to read terms of the bet, then I will ship to you on RPM today. There is no way in hell that I would ever let you touch my avatar or location, nor anything else on my account.

It's kinda plain that he's trolling but it also could be interpreted in a worse light, which is unfortunate imo.

Imo, mod-rigging implies use of mod powers, which I didn't need to use to post a simple thread. At the very least, specificity of details was poor on your end and it's something you should be aware of. That said, if you feel this was too angle-shooty of me, then don't worry about the $10. I won't be mad atcha.

Fwiw, my avs are usually pretty good and I like to think it'd be more of a reward than anything detrimental, but whatevs.

Edit: I'm remembering a Pinocchio av for Ice (I think) for when he was my BQ puppet mod.

Also, if the majority of people think I'm wrong and another plo8 thread doesn't get made, then I will disagree and ship you your $5 obviously. I'll think less of BQ but I doubt you all care.

So to be clear, you apparently admit to "rigging" - just that you justify the obv rigging because there was no need for you as a mod to use any special account permissions to accomplish the rigging?

Seriously, I could care less about the ten bucks, but I believe if any rational person reads the sequence of post ITT the details are as clear as the words on this page. IANAL, and therefore don't find much use for overly specific and convoluted language in my daily interactions. I have sat at many blackjack and poker tables where 2 or more players made "friendly wagers", which included far less specific details than were included in this case. It is generally regarded as being governed by the intent of the wager. If I were to make a bet that you would not get an Ace in the door on the next hand of stud, and you happened to be dealer and made sure to deal your hand to include an Ace in the door, then I am confident all players at the table would rule the bet "rigged". Even though there was no specific terms that prohibited you from cheating (notice I do not use the term angle shooting), the intent and terms of the wager were clearly to let random chance determine the outcome of the wager.

Personally, I would struggle with my conscience if I were to make a wager with a fellow player, and then manipulate the results in any way. I believe players have the basic right to have their wagers determined exclusively by the random outcome of an event or game, and not by any outside forces or conditions.

And I have never failed to honor a single wager that I have ever made, and to date have never had another player fail to honor any wager made.

The simple solution now is to have a BQ mod delete the thread - which should probably be done anyway regardless of the wager since it was a troll post that has only attracted counter-troll responses - and wait out the rest of the month to decide who wins the bet.
