Hey fellas,

I'm a micro limits player on Pokerstars.pt and I play only 6max turbo (0.50€ and 1€) and I have a ROI around 15% on these games. The games have the same format (1500 chips)

In the past two months I feel that I'm running really really bad.
I don't use Pokertracker or HM2 because I'm more confortable with Jivaro, altough the last one doesn't give me the possibilty to study my game.

This way I'm using Hand2note so I can check my stats but I don't really know how to interpret the diference between the Net won and Net won EV in chips graph. I have 80k chips in net won and 234k chips in net won EV as you can see in the attached image.

Is this a big difference (234k to 80k) and can deduce that I'm really running bad at the moment?

I'm a little noob with this kind of software and stats so any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

Net Won is the amount of chips/€ you won/lost.
Net Won EV is the amount of chips/€ you should have won/lost is there weren't any variance.

Let´s see it in an example.
Let´s assume you go all in with AA in the first hand of those SNGs you played. Everyone starts with 1.500 in chips and you get 1 call.
Guy turned over 88.
The pot is 3,000 (let´s not counts blinds for this example as im trying to make a point here)
So you´re about 80% favorite on this hand.
Your EV on that pot is 2.400 chips.
But you end up losing the hand.
Graph wise, you´re -3,000 but in terms of EV you´re +2.400.

Get it?

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.
So I can deduce that I'm running preety bad this month right?
As I'm not playing cash games I understand that this graph does not show me my EV in €€ but what I'm trying to understand is if the difference between my net won (80k) and netwon ev (234k) is significatove or if is just normal.

Thanks for your help

No, you cannot. How do you know you aren't running extremely well in card distribution? If I get AA vs KK all the time, lose half but still crush the game for a huge winrate, does that mean I am running bad?

Hey guys, new here too.

Been wondering about the chip ev graph as well (using PT4), is there any use for it as a tournament player?

If i'm looking purely at my graph for 2019 i would conclude i am running insanely bad, it's something like EV plus 1,8M chips and result minus 2,6M chips. But the fact is the results really aren't that bad, i'm winning quite a bit (relatively to my avg stakes) in 2019 with like 42%ish ROI.

Graph feels a bit like a mindf*ck tbh. Cause the way it looks now it's tempting to conclude i am amazing, cause i'm winning while running bad (don't worry, i don't think that).
But let's say the EV line goes below 0 for a while, i would conclude i suck, while in fact could just be getting coolered a bunch.

So yeah, how do i use it, if at all?

Edit: nvm, shoulda read the FAQ first, sorry!
