Is there a benefit to having a range advantage when you have a good but not great holding? Is there a benefit to having a range advantage when you have a good but not great holding?

I have a hand that provides an example of what I am talking about:

.10/25 NL Bovada 6 max
LJ (16.08 in stack) opens to .95 (I don't have any info on this player)
HJ folds
CO (18.82) calls
Button (44.17) calls
SB folds
Hero (QsQh w/ 30.01) 3 bet to 5.00 from BB
LJ calls
CO and Button fold

Flop- 3sKh6H

I bet 6.00 into pot of 12
LJ folds

I know this is not the most exciting hand in the world, but it brings up a concept that I have been curious about- how do you (and can you) use your range advantage to your benefit when you have a decent but not super strong hand?

I think I have decent equity in this spot. I am beat by Kx, 66, and 33. I think has some but not all of the Kings in his range- Probably all combos of KQ and then KJs, K10s, K9s, maybe K8s. Its possible he didn't 4 bet AK pre flop but not likely, let's say he plays AK this way 30% of the time.

But I also don't think there is too much to bet for value here. It is very unlikely that LJ has 6x or 3x in his range. Maybe 67s if anything but thats still tough to call against a large 3 bet. The only hands I can really bet for value are smaller pocket pairs like 77-JJ. I really do not know if betting (or my sizing) was correct here.

This leads to my main question- how can you use your range advantage to your advantage when you hold a good but not great hand? It's pretty obvious that when you are bluffing your range advantage is useful because you can get better hands to fold. When you have a monster hand, you sometimes want to slow down with your range advantage to avoid getting hands with decent but not great equity to fold. But in a situation like this, where you are not bluffing or value betting a monster, is there a benefit to having a range advantage here?

This would be a more interesting question when villain has more than the pot left in his stack, where the question is whether we jam, given any other sizing is redundant, or if we check to incite

Edit - on the flop

My question has more to do with holding a good but not great hand when you have a range advantage in general, not with this specific hand.

my answer to you would be, it matters more if villain is a level 2 + thinker. if hes not thinking about what you could have on this flop, your "range" doesnt mean as much

at the proper frequency it would still be +ev to play your range, if follow up actions are balanced.

hope that makes sense
