Hi all
New to poker and this forum. Registered with a few online poker sites (Pokerstars, 888, etc) and I'm already getting sick of the nonsense. Is there such a thing as a half-decent site that doesn't try to scam you as soon as you deposit a couple of quid? No time or the patience for that. I just want to learn about poker, spend a couple of bucks a month and if I'm lucky enough to win, for the cash to be wired to my paypal account. Am I asking for much?

If you think Pokerstars and 888 aren't legit then no, there won't be any legit sites from your perspective. They're as legit as it gets.

You're wrong though. They are fine sites. Sounds like they are teaching you something. That is how much luck there actually is in poker.

Unibet is best site for beginners imo for a few reasons:

- No datamining tools are aloud
- 3 name changes a day
- Can leave/rejoin same table with lower buyin if you win big
- Bonuses + challenges v. good value for low stakes players
- Low rake at low stakes

I think the min buyin is 50 big blinds so its not an issue, if it was 10-25bb it would get annoying. Anyway it means on Unibet beginners can stay in the game instead of playing super deep and out of their confort zone, and name-changes stop them getting stalked by pro-nits at the tables.

If you're worried about rigged sites, getting paid etc., all the top sites are legit with a fair deal (Pokerstars, 888, Party etc).
