Hello.

This seems like a topic that often occurs on the forum so I tried to use the search engine. The resulting list was so huge and full of unrelated topics that I've decided to open this thread.

If there is already a related thread somewhere, a link to it would be much appreciated.

It seems obvious to me that besides playing cards, you're playing you opponents. Thus it seems reasonable to seek for the table with the "proper" players. By proper I mean the kind of players that match your playing style.

With this in mind I'd like to ask : What are you concerned when choosing a proper table for your style? Do you simply grab the first available table or do you check for some specific kind of players?

I found out that it is often convenient to sit at a table with a tilting player and wait for good opportunities - do you have some techiques/tools helping you to discover such tables (I am obviously referring to online table selection)?

Cliffnote: open a table, regs and good players don't join a one man table with six max or fullring seats. If you select good tables and stay in line, there are chances to face only the guys also waiting before you and poker will be an outnitting contest.
