I play a 1/2 game where raise sizes are 12 to 25$. At what point do calling IP with hands like 8 10 suited, profitable? I know getting 15x to 35x the sizes are optimal, but to play only big pairs and suited broadways makes for a very long session. Obviously, 25$ raises aren't the best for 8 10, but 17$? Thank you for any help.

suited connectors/gappers are generally vastly overrated by beginner players, for anything bigger than 3x just fold them. Winning at 1/2 live is the matter of patience, this is the only way to beat games where nobody folds anything

Generally true if just raised to on its own, but you've got to consider more than that, if someone's raised it to $12 and we've got 2-3 callers in front of us then it's a bit different than if we're UTG+1 facing a raise to $20

That game is so easy to beat. Just 3bet nutted hands.
