I have been getting too many bad beats daily. Continued 3 weeks now. I started to write them down so I can see if it is my bad play or bad beats that are causing my down swing.
So my journal shows me that usual day (2 hours, 2 tables simultaneously spin and gos) Average is that I suck out 3 times and get bad beats 18 times.
Is there any cure for this? Not going all-in as much or something? (other than playing more and wait it to pass?)
If you play correctly, suck outs are inevitable. You want to bet as much as possible such that a player with a worse or drawing hand will still call. If I have 70% equity, I should never be betting protectively. Instead, I should be betting as much as will be called, and that means 30% of the time I make this play, I will lose big.
If you don't have any bad beat stories, then you are not playing well. If you do have bad beat stories, please, for the love of all that is holy, don't tell them to me.
