I staked Matusow in the $10k dealers choice and quadrupled my money. I see PH's picture on youstake.com but I don't see his action in the marketplace. How do I stake PH in the main event? He is playing so good this year.

Did it occur to you he might just not be selling action to this event? What did Hellmuth say when you asked him on Twitter?

I wouldn't necessarily be rushing to stake him in the ME. He's having a great year, showing a huge profit, and unless the ME will really have an impact on the POY I'm not so sure he'll have his full heart into it. Both he and DNegs have been constantly mentioning how tired they are and needing 'breaks'.

The ME is a long haul .. If he runs deep in the PPC 50k I'm not sure he'll be able to (or even want to) adapt to the amateurs in the ME for that many days in a row.

I think a much better offering would be the PPC 50k if he puts it out there. He knows how to navigate that event and is usually sniffing a FT. Normally Matusow is a good bet in this event also, but typically he needs some help from the deck when it gets down to 2 tables since he's typically short. GL

PS .. I guess with the ME so early this year that POY will probably not have an affect on much .. although a deep run in the ME is probably equal to 3-4 other minor cashes as far as points go.

While PHell is the kill of max late reg it's impossible to avoid amateurs in the ME. I see you can walk at the start on either Day 2 and get 75bb to start so it's possible he could do that .. it didn't clearly define when late reg closed.

Phil NEVER starts the ME on time and he typically does some sort of 'show' when he enters. But they only play 4 huge levels on Day 1s and that's still 150bb in Level 3.

Phil's worst hurdles are amateurs who have run hot and continue to think that's going to last .. and those that will sacrifice chips in order to just play a pot and have a chance to beat him with 'whatever' to see a rant. GL

I can understand a fanboy staking someone at 1.4 markup for a "fanboy sweat".

That said: If you think staking someone at 1.4 is profitable in the long run, I say LOL.

They added 2 more Day 1s to the ME .. Nice to try and let the Euros get over here, but not so nice if Players have to scramble or cancel plans due to the extended calendar to even get to a Day 3.

This obv makes it better to look at staking Phil since he will have more flexibility to enter based on what he does in the PPC. GL
