I gotta tell you I am frustrated so if this come off as a whine please don't view it as that I am seriously concerned. I can't seem to get past the middle of any MTT's. I play the other player and realize what is going on around me and try and get my chips in the best I can when I think I have the best of it. I am not ultra aggressive, I like to play the good hands and take advantage of different situations. Its seems though whenever I get away from good hands and try and take advantage of a real weak player i get screwed.

Just an example (not trying to be a bad beat story i promise) guy was vp 87% on the BB I was utg....I flat called with the 6's trying to catch something....it folded around and 87%'er went all in......I knew he was defending and he was....he had 2/2....it ran out to a heart flush and knocked me out.

I cant wait for ace ace forever. If someone could tell me be more patient or ...play better starting hands....(I am typically around 20% VP and mostly raises when I enter)

I NEED HELP...I am playing the right stuff but getting killed anyways

i don't know much about tournaments but limp/calling shoves utg with 66 probably isn't the best strategy

I came back to post something and then realized what you had just said....

So EVEN WHEN I MAKE THE RIGHT PLAY...... I am wrong?

Ummm...okay

At no point in the hand until the turn was I below 80%...yeah that strat sucks. whatever

I realized something just now on one of these bad beats that I am doing..... I am paying them off everytime.....

I has BB it was called to me I had 9/10.........flop comes K /9 / 9..,. I bet...he calles...I know he has a king now....K on river and I call his all in anyways....

Now THAT is not good strategy. Still looking for useful help from someone out there that won't tell me the correct read and call was wrong because i was beat by an 88 to 1 shot

You didnt make the right play. You made a terrible play after he made a terrible play. Youre looking at a few hands and making judgements off of them, which is not a good idea. There is no such thing as an 88 to 1 shot. You need to go to the MTT section of this site and read the FAQ's and Anthology, then post some hands.

Yea limp/calling from UTG with 66 pretty much does suck.....ok....you were an 80% favorite in that particular hand where he had 22 but why don't you try looking at your hand vs. his range?......not so good:

1,612,990,368 games 0.005 secs 322,598,073,600 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 47.221% 46.56% 00.66% 751065720 10603770.00 { 66 }
Hand 1: 52.779% 52.12% 00.66% 840717108 10603770.00 { 22+, ATs+, KJs+, ATo+, KQo }

And you have no FE to add it when you're check/calling.

This one play with 66 is pretty bad.........I suspect you are making a lot more bad plays that you also don't recognize as bad plays....Don't get mad, that's ok....everybody makes bad plays....that's why we're here though.....to try to get better

Try this forum (it's the Multi Table Tournament Forum - They would know more about multi-table tournaments than anyone in this forum):

Also this is the High Stakes MTT forum....so while at the moment your hands may not qualify to be posted there you can read hands from other people and possibly learn from that:

You are playing MTT which, by its nature are more viotileand have a lower pay-out rate then s'ng. Top players who play >10 mtt a day expect to ''get in the bubble'' at least twice and maybe once a final table. Also if you play the lower entry rates ($5-10) you'll find may drunks gambling with anything, so you might even loose against 23o.

Many books have been written about MTT stategies and they even have a special board for it with lots and lots of info.

Basically you can first play very loose, risk a lot but build a big stack and then start dominating the shorter stacks (but this is obv very very risky) or paly tight in beginning (top 5-7% of hands) and then slowly loosen up.

Good luck!
