Should I move up? Should I move up?

Sorry to make another moving up thread, but I couldn't find any specific answers by searching the forum.

I've been playing 10nl for the past couple of weeks. over 6600 hands, i have a 24 bb/100. I know that is a small sample size, but is this enough to consider that I just didn't have a very good run? If i moved up to 25nl now, I would have about 15 buy-ins which I know is very little. Other than psychological factors(confidence) is this a horrible move?

if ur winning that much at 10NL, which is obv a heater over a small sample why not just keep playing until you have 20 buyins for 25NL...

wait til u have 20+ imo. super small sample size but if your heater allows run good all the way til you are rolled for nl25, by all means move up.

valid points. I guess I was just trying to maximize my time that I can play by taking a shot before I should. The heater really raised my confidence which I understand is stupid, but I'll stick to grinding I suppose.

Thanks

stick at nL10, make ur bankroll slow but safely, and when u got needed bank and feel rdy, go to nl25

One other thing to think about is the fact that 10NL regs will just be starting to get stats on you. You won't be able to fool them as easily in the future. You really need a larger sample size at any level before you have an idea of how you're doing.

NL10 is nothing more than a stepping stone towards real poker. Spend as little time there as possible. You should be taking as many shots as you can to quickly move up while winning, no need to waste time and "prove" that you can beat NL10 over 100k hands. But if you start taking big hits at NL25, move back down quickly and reconsider your game.

I've heard they tend to respect your raises more at the higher limits, so you have that going in your favor

If you're a multi-tabler, you can drop one of the 10NL games for a 25NL game, then drop two 10NL for two 25NL and so on.

The sample size is like one days play to some people. I often play 4k+ hands a day and have play 7k hands in a day.

Take a stab at it and move back down if you lose a few buyins. Taking small stabs is the best way to move up.
