I've just played a hand with a guy and the pot chopped after we both went all in, it was nl10 and I started the hand with 8.05 and finished with 7.76

Is the rake really that high? (pokerstars)

Yes. Looks like the pot was raked 58c out of ~$16, how does that seem really high? It's rake as it's always been. What else could have happened, the software stole money from the pot?
