Hello,

As notetaking is an important part of the game to understand plays / tendencies from your opponents, do you ever make notes from a play that YOU made vs an opponent? Like, a hand you played in a way that you can be almost certain he made a note on you after showdown.
This seems especially useful to randomize certain plays (target a different opponent), and doing the opposite of the last play where he made that note on you (but now you have made a note of this and adapt).

I don't do much online, but there is usually a note taking tab somewhere in the software. I do take mental notes from all the regs I play against live. Sometimes I put them on this site for reference or just into a diary by person. GL

Anyone that I have a big enough sample against so I know he's taking notes doesn't require me to take notes because I'll have them memorized.

if they're a donk they won't notice, if they're a reg they'll probably recognise that it might just have been an odd play and probably won't be recognising this too much assuming you're competent. this is an interesting idea, and might have more use in the short term if you're playing mtt's, but in cash i think you'll probably just end up levelling yourself

Very occasionally I'll make a note like "Caught me triple barreling with 7-high", with the implication being that he might think I'm a bit crazy, so might pay me off if I take the same line with a real hand, and that I should probably avoid trying to run a big bluff on him.
Most of the time (in the micros) I don't get a big enough sample size on most villains for these type of notes to be of much use. At higher stakes in reg-infested fields, I believe the Notecaddy "vs. hero" auto-notes could be quite useful if you really want to get into leveling wars. i.e. You might have a higher than usual 4-bet rate against a specific player, so it's kind of useful for you to know that he thinks you're super-aggro.

I'll take a note on super-unusual stuff that basically anyone would take a note on. The only thing which is less unusual is I take notes on the range opponents have seen me overbet.
