I was wondering about what could motivate a player to starting playing in a new poker room nowadays.

What would make you jump in a new poker site?
Are you a recreational or a grinder?

I'm an MTT grinder (since 2 months or so)

I play only on Stars.

Have tried Unibet and Party Poker (bwin) but don't like them because they have shorter standard blind levels for MTTs.

Don't like the anonymity on Unibet, you gotta really pay attention to what people are doing if you want to exploit them and there's no option to take notes or anything.

I also prefer playing with a HUD, so another downside to PP, the biggest one is the faster blind levels though.

I'd probably play on GG if I had access to it from Belgium.

Besides what you described, rakeback program, 1st deposit? could be more specific what would make you crazy to join a new site? feel free to suggest anything you wish! And TY for your time!

But yeah, rakeback would be huge, deposit bonus to a lesser extend since it's short term.

As a recreational player I'm finding I have less time to play poker these days.

Have recently switched from GGpoker to Partypoker due to the faster blind levels, limited 1 re-entry, and much lower late registration time.

If a poker site out there was to start cash games like you see on the TV shows I would instant switch. By that I mean, deep stacks, antes, straddles, 7 or 8 handed.

While cash games right now would suit my time preferences better there is no way I want to play the stale 100bb 6max borefest.

For me .. there's a difference between 'new' and 'different'

New rooms/sites tend have that excitement surrounding them that may bring 'back' Players who didn't have success on other sites (in the short term). 'Maybe I'll run better on this site' type of thinking can provide volume (until they get mad at the software for all the coolers).

To move to a different site would require features that fit my game better. As shown above you have two Players who would seemingly 'cross like two boats in the night' in an effort to partake in tournament structures more to their liking.

Most love the gimmicks of bonuses and RB if they get enough volume in to take full advantage.

The largest long-term draw to any site (business) is their willingness to listen and respond to inquires. The better the product, the more they can get away with on the operational side. It appears that Party Poker is 'out there' at least asking about Player opinion .. and in some cases actually making requested adjustments.

In a live room it can be something as 'simple' as the chairs around the table. You never know where the sweet spot will be .. and hopefully you find a formula that hits the most sweet spots. GL

Really valuable your thoughts, I want to ask about something that might be particular, about what sixfour mentioned, if players don't have outside HUDs, 1- would you like to have in built HUDs is that correct?

2- And, a simple version as GG with only VPIP, or more like RIO?

And now the crucial question:
3- The data should be reseted everytime a player gets out the table, or, it should be tracked lifetime as GG?

I don't want HUDs at all
