I'm still a beginner and my stats show I have more success playing STT's rather than micro stakes cash... even though both sample sizes are >20,000 hands.

My question is, if I were to focus on grinding $1.40 KO's, what should a min deposit be?

Also, is this the best game selection when focusing on micro STT's?

Thanks.

I don't know the best way to answer this necessarily but prepare yourself for a TON of donks at these levels. I would be rolled for 100+ of these games if you wanna beat variance...and I hope you can ignore the stupidity of most people at these tables! GL

Are there other micro STT's that you would recommend playing, other than grinding these KO's?

Thanks.

There are loads if you include multitable SNG.

If you can, it is worth trying a few for the smallest stakes they do and seeing what you like best (try not to be too results-oriented and don't rule out a return to cash just because of your comparative results so far either)

Not sure what you mean by 'min deposit' that's up to you. If you never want to deposit again then you have to be able to beat the $1.40s (or something else you switch to) before you can come up with a number. If you think this is the case then give the kind of roi you think you can beat them for and we'll go from there. Just budget it as an 'entertainment expense with potential' otherwise.

Game selection for me was more about picking games that suited my strengths than anything else. I am less bad at the late game than the early game, I am better at a full table than a short one so turbo 45-mans were best for me. On the other hand strengthening the weakest parts of my game would probably be better for me

50 buy-ins minimum, but 75-100 would definitely be better.

Keep track of how many KOs you average per tourney. If you don't average at least 1 KO per tourney, you are losing money and should switch to the regular sit and gos.

As for what to play, I grinded $1 DoNs, $1 9mans and $1 18-mans on Stars. The 18-mans seem to be the softest of the 3, but also the highest variance. I would suggest experimenting with different formats and then selecting the most enjoyable/profitable one to be your main game.
