Just bought PT4, as I didn't really like the HEM2 UI.

Then I guess they won't be selling a lot of product

HM2 has it's percs, as does PT4, but the reality with HM2 is that it doesn't function anywhere near properly, and it is still performing like a very buggy BETA release a year on.

The HUD is slow, and crashes at random all the time, meaning you need to restart the software. This resets all your hero stats for each table and is a pain in the ass to have to keep doing it every session. When you do restart the software, 20% of the time you need to go into task manager and end the process because it becomes unresponsive. This is on a powerful PC (quad core cpu/6GB RAM) which is set up correctly to run HM2 with no problems.

Random new bugs appear all the time, and as they fix one, another one seems to pop up.

I tested the BETA version of PT4 and I loved how well it performed compared with the full release version of HM2.

IMO PT4 is a far better option, all things considered. Especially if you play multiple sites.

True, if PT4 had note caddy and holdem heat map report which I like most, I like most the both of these features the PT4 were the best but since HM2 has these then it is the best to choose imho.

I don't really understand all the people having issues with HM2. I have had one beta release that gave me some problems, but other than that i haven't experienced any of the issues people talk about.

i do use an SSD drive, so may be why i don't have the same issues i guess.

I typically try to stay out of this thread and just let it run it's course but I wanted to address the following quote and make a general statement/offer concerning performance problems some people have had in the past and our latest update which addresses most of those issues:

I think if you give it a fair chance so you can get used to the new layout you will learn that it is much faster to find the things you need compared to HM1. After using HM2 for well over 2 years now I really dislike when I need to use HM1.

HM2 has a ton more features, filters, and stats than HM1 does, and with our latest release that introduced the new Dynamic Memory Cap the memory usage and overall performance is much improved compared to previous releases. If anyone in this thread that had performance issues in the past when using our trial would like a trail extension please feel free to PM your email address with a link to this thread and I can issue it for you.

I will give it another chance and put more time in learning the interface (which to be fair I probably spent too little time with).

I like PT4 because it gives to possibility to create custom stats.
If HM2 would have this then HM2 would be BEAUTIFUL ! But it doesn't...

With NoteCaddy you can make stats you didn't even dream of.

PT4 do that with custom stat (actually PT3 does too long time ago, but it's really not easy).

NoteCaddy is not so flexible, with PT4 you can create absolutely everything.
Custom HUD stats and custom stats for filters. Any stats you can ever dream of. It is much more powerful.

Can you build versus hero stats in pt4?
Can you build stats that show what stats your opponent would have on you in their HUD?

I heard HM2 can do "versus hero stats". How it works?
For example:

Villain1 raise, Villain2 call, Hero raise, Villain1 call, Villain2 call. How it count the vs hero stats for Villain1 and Villain2?

Postflop should be different too (2 way pot and multiway pot)

Can NoteCaddy create the following notes:
1. If a player has VPIP between 35 and 56 and PFR between 25 and 35, instead of these stats (VPIP & PFR) to show only on single word like: LAG for example ? Right in the HUD ? How ???
With PT4 you can do it.
2. On A or K or Q or X high flops with all the rest being low cards e.g. A72r (no flush draw, no straight draw possible), Villain may check raise with sets, two pair, OR second and 3rd pair or nothing. Can NC take notes on this ? How ???
3. Can NC define flops like this one from above ?
4. Can NC create a custom stats for rake generated or for rakeback made ? How ???
5. Can NC create the following note:
? How ???
6. Can NC create the following note:
? How ???
7. Can NC create a note for hands villain is min-betting ? TPGK or 3rd pair weak kicker etc. ? How ???
8. Strategy: How to Play Before the Flop
Can NC create a note for this Call20 rule above ? I want to see if he respect it or not. Can it ? How ???

If you show to me exactly HOW to do all of these points above then you are my favorite and I'm gonna forget PT4 for ever. FOR EVER ! But, are all of these possible ? Prove to me, please !

I have been using the PT4 trial version for a few days after rage quitting HM2 and all I can say is, just, WOW!

I have been a HeM and HM2 user for years, and I have paid for addons like leakbuster and notecaddy. IME HM2/NC has never fully done their job and functioned together as they should.

Out of the box PT4 is very impressive even in restricted trial version and is performing like HM2 should with all the 3rd party addons.

I am buying PT4 and uninstalling HM2 for good!

Pretty sure both can do this, and others. not 100%.

By posting such a barrage of technical questions here, you are likely going to get possibly incorrect replies from other users, which the developers will then feel compelled to correct, leading potentially to them getting in trouble.

PT4 trial version missed many advantages from paid version. Especially the cumstom stats. (if i remember correctly)
