I think .es and .com are entirely different entities in terms of accounts.

I had to make a new .es account here in Spain since I couldn't play on my .com account. I didn't carry over any bonuses or anything. It's a brand new account.

different player pools ? also it sounds like the rake is more and vpip is less, and opening the account is a bit of a headache, if you have an account please give all the info you can.

.es is for spanish only ?

thanks

Email support@pokerstars.com

You'll get a more comprehensive answer there than you will here.

I believe it's has it's own Spanish player pool, though I'm not certain if the French etc are included. I don't think so.

Not sure what you mean by the VPIP is less but if you're referring to how loose the players are - I'm playing 2NL and they're just as terrible as they are on .com.

As a foreigner you're required to send them some documents to prove who you are. I'm still awaiting confirmation but I've sent them a copy of my passport and a copy of a bank statement so I expect them to confirm my account in the next 48 hours.

I'm sure you have to be resident in one of those countries to play there. For example if you want to play on pokerstars.it you have to live there (Italy).

I'm having this problem right now. I don't have proof of my address as I rent and the utilities aren't in my name.

I'm trying to get in contact with the PokerStars support to try and sort it out.

The accounts are totally different so you don't keep bonuses.
And I'm pretty sure you can have a .es and .fr account at the same time (I've already played with spanish residents on .fr).

EDIT: Just checked that and it seems that spanish law doesn't allow you to play on other network. Same thing for .fr. The guys I played with either lived elsewhere or didn't follow the legislation.

The player pools should be different, at least that's the case for .fr.
I've never played on a non-french network so I'm not sure about the vpip either but there are fishier networks than stars in France.

For stars.fr anyone can play except for people who live in Belgium, Italy, Denmark and Estonia (no idea why).

Not sure why anyone would want to play on a smaller network with higher rake such as .fr though.

Thank you for contacting PokerStars.

Regarding PokerStars.es, (...) only Spanish players.

...you are welcome to play on the PokerStars.fr client even if you are not living in France and regardless of your nationality, and you can keep your PokerStars.com account at the same time.

Please note that before you can play for real money you *must* fully verify and validate your PokerStars.fr account.

To do this, you will need to take the following steps:

- Send a proof of ID
- Send your bank account details (bank statement or RIB) showing that your bank account is within EU (European Union) or EEA (European Economic Area). Note that bank accounts from Switzerland are not eligible
- Fill the real money form. To access the form, go to your Cashier and click on the "Cashout" button.
- Enter the Account Validation Code that will be sent to your mailing address with instructions
- Once the AVC has been successfully entered into your account, please get back to us if your playing privileges have been removed.

Note: Residents of Greece, Belgium, Estonia, Denmark, Italy and Spain are not permitted to play on PokerStars.fr.
