After repairing windows XP after some computer problems postgresql doesn't work anymore, so I can't use poker tracker, when I try reinstalling postgresql it says I need a password, but the one I used the first time I installed it doesn't work, does anyone know how to fix this?

I had this exact problem.

Unfortunately, I solved it by a clean reinstall of win7.

Did you try the default passwords, dbpass & svcpass?

I reinstalled postgres before and didn't have any problems tbh, providing you have a backup of your DB, id remove the program, reboot and try a fresh installation.

Yeah, I fixed it, the thing was that I downloaded postgresql from another site and it included a lot of other stuff I didn't need, when I removed both postgresql and poker tracker and re installed it it worked, the only thing is I ended up losing like 250 000 hands, which was a bit annoying.

250,000 is an insane amount of hands to lose, IMO.

I'd recommend exporting to a jump/external drive every week or so. Takes me about 2 minutes to do all my cash and tournaments (100k-ish) so...
