Hi all, I’m thinking of starting to play poker again after giving up due to just not having the time, things have changed in my life and I’d like to get back involved.

I was never an amazing player but did work my way up to 25nl 6max cash. It’s safe to say I’ve forgotten quite a lot in about a year of not playing and would probably start somewhere like 5nl to get back into things.

My big question that I’d like to ask is what is the best studying content out there right now to study, I was using run it once, is that still the go to for cash game studying?

Also when studying before I felt like I’d watched quite a few videos but when at the tables I forget everything. When learning the game as a novice what was your approach, how did you ‘revise’? how many tables? what helped you the most etc I’m interested to hear different approaches

Thanks!

RIO is still very good, both essential and elite are great value. Upswing Lab is also a good choice for micro and lowstakes cash players.

If you get back into poker more seriously and start moving up, the Upswing Kanu course is imo the best poker course ever publicly released. But the price tag on that is huge and it will be too advanced for you now. I'd only recommend that if you move past micros and decide to be a serious player again.
