How come they say online is lower than live hourly when you see like 2.5x the hands online per hour. Did I just see that wrong about the hourly or is online really that much harder. Ty

Any answer to a question about live vs online is most likely to be useless for you OP. For example: Question: What are comparable online stakes to live? I play on Global Poker. They have many soft games up to 100NL. America's Card Room is so often referred to as "reg infested"; they might as well change the name to Reg Infested America's Card Room.

Games of the same stakes will play much differently depending on which site you are on. A reg from ACR might tell you that 25NL is comparable to 1/2 Live. As a reg on Global, I would say that most games even at 50NL are comparable to 1/2 live.

I want to know more answers and opinions as well.

I play LIVE poker these days. I never got to see my online potential when blackfriday hit many years ago.

I want to get back online now that GG is available in my country. Im wondering if online still worth it. People keep on saying it's dead (tough) every now and then. Then I see blogs of people rising from micro to the higher stakes etc.

The lowest stake live games are $1/2-$1/3 where it's often possible to make $25-30/hr or more if you're strong or the games are particularly soft. The lowest stake online games are played for pennies and even a strong player would only be able to make a couple bucks an hour.

By the time you get to stakes where making $20-$30/hr is possible online (likely around 100nl), the level of opposition is higher and there are plenty of regulars around who would all likely be the best player at any given lowstakes live table. Even though you can play many more hands online, winrates are much much lower and by the time you start playing for any kind of substantial money the opposition is considerably stronger than the lowest stake live games.
