lolfishies on FTP.
One loose bad player shoved over a tight player's open pre with Q9s and lost to AQ which called. Loose call imo.
He then proceeds to shove next 3 hands pre which go like this:

85s > AKo (flops 2 pair)
63s > AQs (both spades, both flop a pair, fishy rivers 2 pair)
KK < A5s (A5s flops a flush)

Heh, his worst hand lost. Should have stuck to sooted

Hawk, I see what you mean about crazies playing on Ipoker now. Had one of those sessions where they hit EVERYTHING with their random hands.

Fortunately, that kinda thing doesn't tilt me anymore (TMGOP ftw!) so ended the session about 20bbs down, which is fine considering I was nearly 5BIs down at one point.

Patience is the key
02-04-2013 , 03:58 PM
Just watch out for the aggro ones - the ones where you have KQ, the flop is KT4, they call cbet, turn is a 9 and they shove all in with A9.

Different kind of villain at FTP - so passive!
Every 6 max table I sit at, minimum VPIP is like 35, up to 95.
They never believe you have it, so will call down with J5 on an A5T board.
Just now I've seen a fishy villain open shove JJ get called by J3s, A2o open shoved called by A5o

The normal rules don't seem to apply though. Fold when passive players show aggression for example.
Sometimes they raise to make the other person fold.
I've seen raises, reraises, get to all in and it's been poor flush draw vs. total air.

But in general they seem to put me in less tough spots than the aggrodonks at iPoker.

@studebaker go back to stars man... the rake at ftp is a killer
02-04-2013 , 04:55 PM
Really?
Well I'm currently playing on a free $20 they gave me.

Anyway, when I'm sat at 4 6 max tables and every villain is labelled a fish, it should make up for it.

Nice calls here...

Hawk, u know how to stop it deleting ur bet amount if u focus on another table before making the bet, if that makes sense?
02-04-2013 , 05:28 PM
Nope.
Makes no sense.

Not sure what you mean. Don't think I ever had that problem.
02-04-2013 , 05:47 PM
Playing 4 tables tiled, they overlap. I put in say 30c to the bet window on table one. Then table 4 pings at me so i click fold on that one. If i go back to table one now, the 30c has disappeared from the window, so if i click raise, it minraises.

Does that make sense?

Also had that thing u said where it opens all ur old tables when u log in lol

Every other hand is a bluff (okay this one is standard cbet).
Didn't want to donk flop or turn here but couldn't guarantee he's bet river.

Turn betsizing is because villain is more likely to call a turn overbet than a river PSB IMO. And if he's not 3betting JJ vs a CO open he becomes pretty exploitable either by folding to every 3bet (if he doesn't bluff) or 4betting a bunch.
02-04-2013 , 11:03 PM
Im pretty sure he will fold everything but Jx or better to that turn overbet..

Would he hav folded like Jx to a normal turn bet n river shove at a less rate than the overbet turn shove river? no imo hes never folding Jx at any point no matter if u open shove turn, check flop check turn overbet shove river, doesnt matter he not foldin lol hes a understacked fish he doesnt care

Also, if u CO villain has a high fold to 3bet, there is no point in 3betting the JJ, u will simply collect the open raise amount everytime n then face a 4bet by a range that is always ahead of u.. So prob better to use a junk hand vs that n call w JJ

Reminds me of this guy, he has a high fold to 3bet.. What would the point of 3betting JJ be?.. Id rather 3bet Q5s instead

Oh n he played his hand pretty good

I mean, the standard knowledge is value bet then fold to aggression vs. fish but these guys will play TP like 2 pair, like a set like a flush draw (maybe) on this board.

Oh, and why didn't I bet flop?
Not sure. I think my hand was good on the flop so should have.
The fishy unpredictable villains were throwing me off my game a bit. Randomly check raising, call/donking, etc.
02-05-2013 , 10:48 AM
I think the turn is a fold, but the flop is definitely a bet.
02-05-2013 , 10:54 AM
Khan; why didnt you cbet? Check isn't terrible always but once he bets the turn I think you should fold. But maybe I'm a nit.

Stud: yes I think you should cbet here, or c/r. Turn fold is fine, esp with the pot/pot by CO.
Btw I wouldn't tag a 40/20 as a complete drooler, kinda depends on the hands. There are multiple times I'm 50/50 or 80/40 for 10-20 hands while I normally play between 20/18 and 27/24ish.
02-05-2013 , 11:15 AM
^True: but I was watching they hands they showed down. 100/0 you can imagine
I think UTG previously called my UTG open raise from BB with 72o

I have seen villains like this go crazy over TP - get a set against them when they have J3 on a J high board and just raise them and wait for the shove

Results of above hand:

River: ($4.54, 2 players) Q

Spoiler:
UTG shows J 9 (One Pair, Jacks) (Pre 70%, Flop 17%, Turn 14%)
CO shows 8 J (Two Pair, Jacks and Eights) (Pre 30%, Flop 83%, Turn 86%)
CO wins $4.24

Turns out QQ wasn't good in this case, but I think it is a good % of the time.
Here, I think a K is often in their range.
