dill, how can you be breakeven if you are losing after rake? you cant ignore rake in your calculation if you are winning or losing.

100/200 grinder? so you used to sit with 20k on the table (with the accompanying $1Mega roll) but now are posting a hand where you had KK and made a fh, shoved ~2.5x pot on river in 4nl? GTFO.

So here's my Jan graph. Mainly Zoom, some 2nl then 5nl.

Not played that much due to HM2 problems, and part of my new year's resolution was to not play tired. Having started a new job at the start of Jan I'm finding it's been a pretty tiring month!

Anyway, goals for Feb:
[ ] As much volume as I can manage alongside irl stuff
[ ] Only play when I'm capable of playing my A game or games are so juicy it doesn't matter
[ ] Get some non-Zoom volume in
[ ] Keep getting the most from DC sub
[ ] Post more interesting/problem hands & comment on other's hands
[ ] Keep reviewing sessions and analyse 'standard' villain lines

NL100/NL200, meaning $.5/$1 and $1/$2blinds. Broke almost completely even last year (had a tiny profit before RB), and poker felt like a bad job. so I decided to mix it up and try something new. Mostly for fun but hopefully I will also be able to help a few players a long the way. I don't any money from poker for at least 6 months, so trying to rekindle my passion for poker by starting over and helping people along the way seems like a good idea no?

I don't see why it is so crazy to post a hand with an overbet that some people who are reading this thread might not be making. Getting maximum value from fish in situations like these will really make a big impact on your winrate if you are a struggling player.

@Malfunction
Thanks for fixing the image and good luck in this month! If you need any help with any hands just post them here or in the hand review forum and I'll make sure to check them out for you.

As in when I set my PT4 to show to add in 100% rakeback, there is an even line. But still losing.

Trying to play less tables though, usually 4 tabled zoom (bad idea, not learning and paying too much rake) and right now trying to play 2 zoom and 4 regular tables at the same time.

Something like this happened a lot today i.e. my hand was best until the river.
Mostly I cbet flop and turn and they binked river.
Sometimes I called down with TPTK and they binked river.
Fortunately, I mostly got away cheaply because they never raised just called.
On the other hand, everytime I have raised post flop today I have been reraised big or shoved on.

I've had ones where they called down with A9o, no draws and I bet two streets and they hit a 9 on the river..

Ur tilted mate, stop playing.

Hand you show, u really think there's value to be had from his range ott? (not being results oriented)

U aren't getting raised every time, just feels like that. We all have sessions like that, just stop playing if u can't carry on playing ur A game
02-02-2013 , 02:34 PM
Yeah I stopped.
Don't think I was tilted.
Maybe heading towards it

OTT I think my pair is probably good (turns out it is).
I think he may call with a straight draw.
Or he may fold if he has suited connectors or low connectors.

Hmm, maybe it's more likely he caught a weak pair.

Low volume lastmonth.

Goals for February:
15k volume
Grind $60 bankroll -> 4nl.
Full utilization of the hud.
More studying on poker, and other non-poker related topics.
02-02-2013 , 02:39 PM
I presume you're bluffing the turn? Seriously, just check it down.
02-02-2013 , 02:47 PM
Hawk, if u play against a range there rather than hoping he has the one hand you beat that he calls with, then u should be looking to get to showdown cheap.
How many 9s or Ks are in his range that aren't already beating you?
He can also play all 1P hands like this, maybe even 2P hands and sets, fearing the straight
02-02-2013 , 03:09 PM
Hmm, well I'm making attempts to be more aggressive post flop since people keep telling me I'm too passive post flop.

Another couple of hands, just played.
1st one, took your advice and checked it down. Do you ever cbet flop here? Couldn't it rep a high pair if you cbet on this flop?
I find villains will bet in position about all of the time before the river usually.

How about this one?
Was going to bet the turn, but decided to just call - not a monster hand but worth a call.
River changes nothing.
Obviously any J beats us. But are you always folding to a bet here? Does he always have a J?

You haven't said anything about villains so tough to make good comment.

I'd prob cbet both flops against abc players tho

Returning to poker this month after a few month break. With a BR of $25 I'm starting 2013 at 2NL 6-max normal tables 4-tabling. Sorted a lot of life stuff out and started mma training so both my mind and body are in a much better place than before - this should stop my ridonculous BR tilts that I always seem to have when I reach 50NL.
02-02-2013 , 06:05 PM
Gl sir, crushing again in no time
02-02-2013 , 06:50 PM
seems like im on a perma-downswing, and not playing too good. need a break from poker. 2nl>5nl>10nl>5nl>2nl really is quite meh.

Spoiler:
02-02-2013 , 07:00 PM
Good decision. If your head is not in the right place there is no better remedy than to take a break for a while.
02-03-2013 , 09:24 AM
Did a quick session and ended up break-even with couple of weird hands.

Hand 1: Really strange line here. IDK about that call 2c then min-raise flop, wth? Turn completes a couple of draws, but it doesn't make sense for someone to raise with 26, A2 / 76 possible but not very likely. His instabet on turn seems strong, but i still have to put him on a 9x or an overpair. I have some outs (alltough -EV) for river so i call. River is a pretty standard spot where i would bust an overpair a lot of times.

Hand 2: Again i have no idea about min-raise on flop. He would do it with Ax, have to be worried about AK here, i guess thats the reason why i didnt shove it. Turn looks good, i think its possible that he hit 2-pair but i have a lot of outs here.

H1, i prob play it the same, except I'd prolly 3bet pre
H2, get it in otf. He can have worse Aces and FDs and would usually 3bet AK pre, and raise it bigger postflop fearing the FD himself
      02-03-2013 , 11:30 AM
h1 wp, he's gonna be doing that with worse 9x

h2 shove flop, you're beating a very wide range of hands except A5 and 55. V is prob with draws with most likely 2hearts

Put some cash on WillHill and played 4nl to get the hang of the software and my hud setup.

Damn it's fishy! Same as 888.

      Get on it fellas!
      02-03-2013 , 02:06 PM
Would be interested to see how you get on.
Any software glitches yet? Like multiple tables opening when you open the client?

Can't really get motivated to play on Party since they removed the players/flop stat from the lobby.
Everyone just sits in and leaves when they realise it's not a juicy game, so a lot of the time the game is 4/5 players.
      02-03-2013 , 02:11 PM
      Not yet.
Altho was playing 4 tables and thought I'd 3bet a TAG with JJ when he iso-raised a fish, only to look back and see A7s?! Can't say for sure tho, maybe my bad. He folded so no matter

It was FULL of fish tho, can't believe what they call 3 streets with. Can't remember when i last got 3 steets at Zoom (without losing!)
      02-03-2013 , 02:12 PM
      ^Could be you
I opened MP with 66 earlier got 2 callers, looked down and saw 56!
      Oops.
      02-03-2013 , 02:15 PM
Ha ha yeah, think it was just me.

All worked ok today for me tho. Only playing 4nl tho so hoping it'll be easy enough to beat the level

Chad did you do a pooh-bah post?
