As long as the decision we make is +EV we will be profitable in the long run, right?

Is it worth it to review hands where you made a -EV decision in order to improve ?

ldo, how do you expect to get better if you just look at hands where you didn't make bad plays?

also be aware that just because you have made a +ev play, it doesn't necessarily make it a good play, there could be even more +ev options!

One more "dumb question":

If our pot odds are higher than our equity, it is a profitable call.

If we play mathematically correct poker, will that make us profitable in the long run ?

Concept of mathematically correct poker is bordering on GTO angels on a pinhead bull****, but (at least in cash games) calling getting the correct price is rarely wrong

Dumb (soft) question:

As first approach to GTO, would you prefer PIO or GTORB; given the first gives you the opportunity to "learn by yourself" and the second provides you some pre-computed scenarios as prototype for the most common spots? I feel like if I suggest someone to approach GTO using PIO, it would be overwhelming at first.

so i guess i should ask a bunch of questions on correct german verb usage here, as i'm beginning to learn that. your question is akin to going onto a maths forum for 5 year olds and talking about partial differential equations

Dw, sixfour just doesn't like the fact that NLHE has moved beyond him and some notion of equilibrium is very much a beginner concept now. In response to your question, I'd start by learning the indifference principle and messing around with toy games, then watch some videos/get GTORB, then get pio

lol at this entire post, i've had zero interest in NLHE for years now and if you're really saying that any level of game theory is necessary for the target audience of BQ then, if true, that is a huge hint that they should LEARN ANOTHER GAME

Game theory concepts are conveyed in all forms of strategy including basic strategy which beginners should be studying. It is very evident that some people only want to study GTO as an alternative to everything else, and how often has that approach succeeded?

And of course, a beginner isn't going to play a $2 MTT and have a bunch of GTO players at his table, so it's pointless to go down that road. You don't play GTO against highly exploitable players.

So does "Show one, show all" rule relate to cards or players?

At my local casino a guy flashed one of his hole cards to everyone at the table when the hand was over. (Nobody had called him). Someone cried, "show one, show all... show all your cards!" The floor came over and ruled that he had to show both cards to the other players.

Others can help you better than I, but you need permission to post there from my understanding. There is probably some information in the 'sticky' at the top of the thread .. "posting rules/requirements" perhaps .. GL
