If im being completely honest my game is flawed and I want to rebuild my game from the ground up starting back at the basics so where would you recommend starting as an advanced beginner? I also don't use any HUD's when playing online do they really help your game that much and what HUD's would you recommend?
I'd start with the math. I think that's the foundation of a strong game. Get a copy of
Poker Math that Matters by Owen Gaines. You can find both ebook and paperback versions at
Qtip Poker.
Tracking software isn't just worthwhile for the HUD. It's also valuable because it creates a database of every hand you play online. Once you've accumulated a significant number of hands (say 20,000+), you can then use that database to find leaks in your game that may be difficult to find otherwise.
I think
Holdem Manager and
Pokertracker are still the standards, though I haven't played online since Black Friday.
The sooner you begin collecting hands, the sooner you can use them to improve your game.

ETA: Also, find the forums that apply to the games you play.
For live:
Live Low-Stakes NL
It's generally a good idea to read the stickies for a particular forum before creating threads in it.
