Do you think it is essential to have a HUD to be a winning player at micro stakes? Or is colour coding and notes enough?

I feel that notes are more than enough/ I beat $4 and $6 NL w/o 1 (although on BetOnline so it may be debatable). Big imo here: poker tracking software is more valuable for analyzing your play than as a HUD for in-game reads, IMO.

Is that $2/$4 and $3/$6 ?

I suppose a Hud becomes more imprtant if you're multi tabling lots of tables but I'm only playing 1 or 2 tables now

Also do you have any advice on analyszing your game with PT? My PT3 trial is soon over and I want to pick some faults in my game before it ends. Eg do I look at all the hands I've played and simply not play hands that are losing me money, or play less hands in positions that are losing me money (eg UTG) etc..?

Thanks

Not really sure what you're asking but high stakes fanboy stuff mostly happens here:

That's kind of a huge question. One thing I can suggest is to look at the hands you lost the most an won the most on and analyze them for mistakes and good moves.

I believe there is a stat checkup thread somewhere in here where they may have better answers for you of you don't get a good one here.

Was just following a GTO thread where dwan is (allegedly) betting multiple millions that he can beat a GTO limit bot.

Is there a chart for the the best starting hands? From early position to middle and lastly late position. I saw some video where it said to memorize the top 30 percent of hands in order to figure out our Villains 3-bet range and shoving tendencies. Anyways i'm wondering if there is a Universal Chart that poker goes by. Thanks.

Is it good idea to give up on a hand where your cbet gets 3bet and you hold no real showdown value? I saw a friend 5bet on higher stakes but i'm not sure if 4bet/5bet is good idea on 2nl. Is 2nl too "fit or fold" style?

At 2NL, if your cbet gets 3bet, and you've not got any showdown value, throw it away every time. Anything more fancy is just spew.

At higher stakes, yes, it might make sense to play back at people, but at 2NL people so rarely raise a cbet as a bluff that it's best to just believe them.

I can't think of a chart. I use pokerstove to mess around with these sort of things. Your adjustments should be super villain dependent. Its way better to learn how to think about these things and construct you own ranges based on your game/villian/stack size than have a chart with a semi-optimal strategy against a certain field.

In a vacum fit or fold is a good way to play these spots at 2NL. Most 2NL players aren't on the level where they even have a bluff raise in them in 3bet pots; never mind doing it with a frequency that makes continuing profitable. At 2NL showdown value town is a great town to live in.

lets say i have 9 outs to make my flush draw after the flop, is it proper to take your outs x 2 + 1 to calculate the percentage you have to hit on the next card? ie. 19% chance to hit an out given 9 outs on 4th street, and another 19% on fifth? 38% chance to hit my flush after flop combined

About PStars:

At the 1 Jan all FPPs will be reseted to 0 or just FPPs earned in 2011? and FPPs earned in 2012 it can be usable in 2013?

Usually in Jan all stocks in VIP Store will be realoaded?

Thx.

FPPs are not reset to zero - you keep all the FPPs you have earned. And the VIP store doesn't change on Jan 1st - except to update the annual VPP milestone bonuses...

Annual VPP totals are reset to zero, which are used to qualify for Supernova and the milestone cash bonuses. You will still be able to purchase any milestone cash bonuses you earned enough VPPs for in 2012 throughout 2013 (in the same way they had a 2011 milestone category in the store during this year).

This has probably been asked a million times but taking a stab figuring it out myself will be helpful.

Is it better to check raise KK on an ace high flop in a micro FR game assuming your opponent is reasonably tight? I figure they will fold a2-aj and will call or reraise with sets, two pair, ak, aq.
