Out of interest, are you finding your steals are (much) less successful in 6 max? I'm still playing full ring and using table selection carefully so I (nearly) always have a nitbox on my left. I just checked my stats and OTB my overall steal success is 52% and in the SB it's 67%. These guys are practically giving me their blinds.

Good question.

OK, last month at 6max 2NL, it was 40.9 from BTN and 59.3 from SB, so less successful. This month at Zoom 6max 2 NL it's 46.0 from BTN and 59 from SB. So about the same, maybe easier from BTN but maybe sample size.

This compares to 61.5 BTN and 69.1 SB at FR picking a random month. So yes, stealing is definitely less successful at 6max. On the other hand it's more important...

So... what's the difference between the "Brick and Mortar" forum and the "Mortar and Brick" forum. Confused me for a day before I realized they were two different places.

Brick & Mortar has a policy of pretty strict moderation, deleting/infracting off topic posting, banning repeat offenders etc.

Mortar & Brick was started as a less strict version of the same thing as an experiment.

How do i use the hand history converter? I use the universal Replayer. There you can export a Hand in 4 different types: HTML; OPC; FTR Forum and BB-Code Forum. None of these options work. What am i doing wrong??

I'm looking for some guidelines on stat ranges for various player types. I'm specifically looking for (micro) LHE, FR.

I recently found out about the colour ranges option in Poker Tracker. I've spent some time this week working out a colour ranges system for various player types, but I've looked at my system again before applying it today I think some of my ranges are too wide (for example, I've got 15-29 written as a solid VPIP % for a decent player, and that just looks too wide).

So I'm trying to make sure my ranges aren't way out in case I get em wrong and then get the wrong idea about players at the table. I've been googling and also searching the forums for a while and have found bits and pieces of info (and some of that is several years old so am not sure if it's still accurate) but I'm surprised I haven't found a thread talking about generic stat ranges per player types, and am guessing I might be just missing it somehow.

So I figured I'd admit my lacking search fu and ask for help - if such threads or guidelines exist (or you have knowledge of general stats per player type for L FR) please help!

The playertypes I'm focusing on are weak/fishy players, weak tight/rocks, strong tight/good players, LAGs, maniacs. The stats I'm most interested in in relation to those player types are VPIP, PFR, AF, 3 bet%, WTSD, and fold to steals/att. to steal.

Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks! So a solid player is looking for 18/14 VPIP/PFR? (I thought something like this, good to have it backed up in a couple of places as I've also read that you're looking for more like a 2:1 VPIP:PFR ratio).

If a reasonable 'solid player' range is 15-22 rather than my currently written 15-29, I'm wondering if I shorten all of my ranges slightly by 4-7 or so (for all player types) whether that would be accurate.

I read Don Juan's thread - shame it's closed and I missed it, would've loved to cheer him on. I saw he mentioned several times that it is important to have a good HUD but I didn't see him go into detail on his setup/ranges anywhere.. I wonder if it was in the videos which I can't see due to megaupload being seized?

On Stars, I've noticed that some of the tournament tickets you can purchase through the VIP rewards come with a message explicitly stating that the ticket cant be exchanged for Tournament $. Certain other tickets which are available for purchase through this scheme do not give an indication of whether or not they can be exchanged for T$.

In particular, I am looking at the $82 Step 3 ticket. Does anyone know if this can be exchanged for T$?

why not email stars and ask

in general, they don't want to offer stuff which is in effect a cash bonus

Have also emailed stars, they usually take a number of hours to reply though so was hoping someone on here might have an instant answer. If nothing else, an interesting exercise in whether 2p2 or stars are a quicker source of info.

something like 18/14 yeah, ten handed. 22/18 is fine at lower stakes imo

you could look into leakbuster HUD, it does what you are trying to do

i still have the vids from that thread, if u PM me an easy way to get two 70mb files to you, i'll see what i can do

The micro Limit Library has an excellent link that discusses limit stats

I have a few dumb questions.

On the SAGE small stack means a player with lowest stack? My number of BB influence somenthing in SAGE? Pot odds are calculating only on Heads up or it doesn't matter?

Do we consider "thin value" to be a relative or absolute term?

Is this the philosophy thread?
Since I don't think there are many absolutes in poker (apart from things like a royal flush being unbeatable) I think thin value is a relative term. Certainly you can say "A value bet here would be relatively thin".

Yeah I was thinking of the COTW or whatever it is that says "don't go for thin value at the micros". Which makes sense if we are talking in relative terms, but we can bet a much wider range of hand strengths for value profitably at the lower stakes as people call down so light.

Indeed. I can't say I actually think to myself "I'm going for thin value here" when I bet the river with 2nd pair against a calling station. I just bet.
And if he shows up with 74o for the nut straight, I turn into Josef K and think the whole world is against me.

I have a dumb question, I hope it's not too dumb.

What does it mean when someone says something like
"Villain is losing reg, running 30/18 (400 hands)" ?

Thanks in advance

Stars support say no. Shame as the Step 3 ticket represents the highest $/FPP ratio.

I was going to join this tournament and use my 3$ tournament ticket that I won. Then I wanted to see it's betting structures and it says 'This is a single-handed tournament, there are no betting structures'. So what is a single-handed tourney without betting structures? I've never seen such before. It's on Unibet and I know many here don't play on that site, but has anyone seen anything similar and could explain it to me?

Here are it's additional details: Name: Carnage Step 2
-"Top 3 win tickets to Carnage Step 3. 100 starting Chips. You will be automatically placed all-in until elimination or tournament completion."
-"NOTE: Players eliminated in the same hand will be given position a) by hand strength then b) by proximity to the dealer button. If on the button you are considered to be the furthest away from it."
-Max entrants 6. Buy-in 2.75€+0.25€. Prizes top-3 will get same ticket "Multi Event Ticket (5€+0.50€)

How can 100 starting chips work. I really don't get it. Wonder what the starting blinds that will never change are also, but it doesn't say.
