Are there any PLO Well threads?

I don't think the PLO is recognized by the UN yet,,,, so I am sure that organization is not a sanctioned member of 2+2 at this time.

The Well is a group of threads that are essentially autobiographies by respected members at 2+2. Usually posted in the poster's most frequented area of 2+2. As an example, I play full ring cash games so The Well I authored was posted in the NL microFR.

This is a really dumb but serious question.

1) How do I use the "Search" function on this forum? Is there a way I can search using some of the words that I type?

Whenever I search for something, I have a difficult time trying to find what I'm looking for. I have made threads in the past that have been deleted because they've been discussed endlessly or there is a special thread for questions regarding my topic or people will be like, "I hate to be that guy, but seriously USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!"

Example: I wanted some advice on buying a used car, so I searched "Buying a car" in title only and it came up with 34 different results but not the thread I was looking for here. So I created a new thread and it was deleted.


2) How would I go about searching for something like this: I want to develop a better understanding about betting frequencies in NL.

3) If someone says, "I think Villain will bet this flop 100% of the time, and I think he'll bet the turn 80% of the time.

If you estimate villain's range to be the top 20% of hands on the flop and then they bet those 20% of hands on the turn 80% of the time, is villain's range 16% on the turn?

what I'm getting at is Search will yield different results sometimes based on where you conduct the search.

for the search you want to do for betting frequencies....good luck. There will probably be zero threads specifically about that issue. And the reason is (as you already know about poker) It Depends. Why will villain bet 100% on this flop? questions are answered in MANY hand history (HH) threads. But compiled into one seems.....daunting as their are a million +1 scenarios...... So you need to find HH threads about your situation (I has TPTK after the flop but villain CBets)...... to find the discussion about THAT situation. Slowly patterns will emerge the more HH you read.

Now to your last question about 100% - 20% / 80% -16% ......................sorry, poker is hard. Generally look at beginners betting with top of range. More experienced players bet a polarized range (top 10% + bottom 10%). And advanced players...... So where do you put your current villain is up to you.

I think I posted my new thread in BBV4L, but then asked a mod to move it to OOT because I realized the entire BBV4L forum is a joke. Then OOT deleted it presumably because the megathread is here. I eventually found this thread and found what I was looking for.

Regarding my questions about betting frequencies. It's just too vague, like you said but I found some good stuff in the Poker Theory forum, where there is a lot of information, some useful, some not.

NL Hold'em Tournament Rules Question:

The Small Blind Calls.
