I just dont get that at all

If your paying money to play and getting a smaller amount back, then how can you turn a profit?

If your at 0bb/100 getting 30% RB, then your losing 70% of w/e rake you pay, therefore losing money?

I just dont get it

A program like PokerTracker3 (PT3) or HoldemManager (HEM) is the preferred route. They are more accurate (they track every hand you play), they enable you to view stats on your opponents from the hands you have already played with them, and they are allowed by all poker sites.
Yea i use PT3 but I sometimes play away from my desktop and so my PT3 doesn't have record of me playing some sessions. I figured in that case the datamining sites would be more accurate.

No. ptbb/100, bb/100, BB/100 are all after the rake is paid.

0 ptbb/100 is break-even. Period. Including any rake paid.

WTF? No. FFS. This isn't complicated.

ptbb/100, bb/100, BB/100 are win rates. They measure how much a player wins or loses at the table. It is the difference between how much you sit down with and how much you leave the table with. As such it must include rake. When you tell your wife how much you lost in Vegas, she doesn't care how much of that went to rake and how much went to the other players.

Rakeback, VIP, bonuses and all other promotions are completely separate. They generally have very little or nothing to do with a players ability to win. Since they have nothing to do with winning they are not included in win rates. They also vary highly from one player to another depending on affiliate, VIP level, bonus being cleared. etc.

ptbb/100 is how much money Lebron James makes for playing basketball.
Rakeback (etc) is how much Lebron James makes selling shoes (etc).

Michael, just use an example. If you're playing 1 table and at the end of the day you end up with what you started with you have a 0 BB/100 or 0 bbb/100 winrate. But you paid rake in the hands that you played, so you get rakeback on it. Thus even if you have a 0 winrate, you're still earning money in the form of rakeback.

Asking my question again that hasn't been answered:

And also, what's the betsizing of a squeeze usually at in terms of big blinds - i.e. button opens for 3bb, SB calls, and we want to squeeze in the BB, what's the standard sizing?

thanks

Hi, say this page - http://www.pokertableratings.com/sta...rch/letmefly88

is the winrate there specified as BB/100 as in PTBB/100 or is it bb/100? It is currently 0.31. Thanks!

PTR displays winrates in BB/100.

1BB/100 = 1ptbb = 2bb/100

Aside from purchasing cash bonuses in the VIP store, there are several satellite tournaments that you can play. If you win a ticket you can unregister and receive the ticket value in T$ instead so that you can keep grinding the satellites to convert all your FPPs.

You can then use the T$ to buy into tournaments that award actual cash or just sell them in the marketplace at a slight markdown.

I don't know if this is a dumb question but I have a feeling it's been beaten to death so hopefully someone is nice enough to help me out with same basic info.

I've been micro grinding on PS for a little bit now and I'm about to dive into 5nl. My question is whether or not I should withdraw my roll from PS and deposit it on FT before I start 5nl.

The plan is undoubtedly to get my monies on FT eventually but is it worth it to do it now or should I grind my br up to 10nl or 25nl first.

Any help would be much appreciated... thanks.

Edit: Failed to mention this is for rakeback. Cause I'm an idiot.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=level

It's slightly more complex in poker usage since it refers to the "levels" of thinking that a player can be on when considering another player's actions.

For example, you might know that a villain likes to overbet in this spot, but you may also know that he knows you know that. Each subsequent level makes the puzzle more complex, and therefore poker players use the term to describe thinking that goes over your head (i.e. a good parody or sarcasm that isn't obvious).
