Yeah, totally doesn't for me. I wonder if I have some weird hidden option selected. If it's true that it is regenerating for others and not me... that is going to tilt me until I figure out why

a reg just told me the regenerated tables only happen on buy-ins of $22 and under. That truly sucks. However, if I can sit first, and if regs are sharkscoping me, hopefully they won't sit and I'll get some fish once in a while. So far, I have played some TERRRRIBLE player on Stars. There are terrible players on FT but these players were like... in a different league of terrible. Going on tangent here but... I played this one guy who almost literally only played the nuts. It was ridiculous. I raised EVERY SINGLE HAND whether I was on the button or not. I would then continuation bet big if I had a hand and like 1/4 the pot if I missed. He must have been folding to those 1/4 pot bets with mid pair at least some of the time - had to be. And then, if I really wanted to, I could get him off any hand but the absolute nuts. It was a joke. Anyways, that's my first impression of Stars SNGs vs. Full Tilt SNGs at the $33 level.

by the way, we should start a Regenerate to find the Degenerate campaign!

Why is there no such thing as "two pair mining". It is to my understanding that it is easier to make two pair on the flop than to hit a set. And I dont think 222s on a AK2 flop are easier to hide than 45 on a K45 board.

Thanks for making this thread so I can ask these questions comfortably.

Players call raises with suited connectors all the time...

No such thing as a good benchmark. You play as many hands as you wanna play. Some people play more than others because they have more time, are more patient, etc.

Multiply the following: Hands-Per-Hour x Number of Tables x Hours x Days

I calculate my Full Ring HPH at 70 average. 6-Max is 100 IIRC, but you can check that yourself.

Example: 70 x 4 x 4 x 30 = 33,600 hands a month, assuming you play four tables of FR for 4 hours a day over 30 days (1 month).

The suffix "ish" means "about" or "around".

Are there any articles on two plus two for people new to sng's? I've been playing cash games but have been wondering if theres much of a difference (Granted, I could just play one to find out but I don't even know how long the usually go for). Also is there somewhere where I'm meant to introduce myself before I start posting, like there is on some other forums?

I think gravely mistaken, especially if you are talking about unsophisticated players. You get dealt connectors much more often than pairs, especially if you include 1 (or 2) gappers. Loose players love to call with these hands for 2pr/trips/straight "mining". Since they are more common, they make up a larger percentage of their calling range.

I'm a real tard when it comes to some stuff, plus a beginner at poker. So first, I want to post hands like you guys do. I found this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/55...-thread-71183/. Do you guys have the information about your hands recorded somehow? I know there is things like pokertracker, what do you guys use?

Will ask more questions after I actually get replies to my original questions.

I don't know about any articles, but there is a forum dedicated to sngs here: STT Strategy.

If you win, a typical sng (assuming it is a single table sng) will last about 60-90 minutes.

The strategy for them is different than it is for cash games or larger field tournaments.

Welcome to 2+2.

Looks like you need to read the stickies at the top of the Beginner's Forum.

Sorry to repost but does anyone know how to disable PartyPoker player chat, for all tables, not just the one?

When you're creating a post, there's the "The Two Plus Two Hand Converter: Powered by DeucesCracked.com" box you can expand above the box where you write your message. Paste the hand history there.

I actually mean sophisticated players, I mean I hear you need implied odds of 15 or so to 1 to set mine, what do you need to twopair/or straight mine? I just find my self always calling with lil pairs but never knowing when I should with connectors?

Cool thanks.

Michael.T: I haven't found any way to automatically disable chat on all tables in party poker, but I just hide them or have player notes open instead.

I was just playing around with some filters in HEM and happened to get a quick peak at my stats with AA filtered out. I went from a 4.7bb/100 winrate to -1.4bb/100 with pocket aces removed. Is this normal?

This is over a 120k hand sample.
