I suppose it means you have a shot at a nut straight, but in that case shot and draw are someway double.
I think you meant to say
gut-shot straight draw, which is when you're missing one card (max of 4 outs) to make your straight.
For example, if you have AK on a J-10-6 board, you have a gutshot straight draw because you need a Queen to make your hand.
The other type of straight draw is the
open-ended straight draw, which means you can make your straight with two different cards.
For example, if you have 87 on a 10-9-3 board, you need either a Jack or a 6 to make your hand, giving you a maximum of 8 outs for your draws.
Hope that helps.

When you guys sit for a session how do you decided you session length? Do you usually plan to sit for a (relatively) fixed time period or until you reach a goal, say doulbling your initial stake? I realize a lot of what actually happens is dependent on the day but I was just wondering where peoples heads are at when walking into a card room or logging on. Thanks.
I think most people sit down for a determined amount of time and quit after that unless they're running hot at the time. It depends on whatever you wanna do, it's up to you really.
