I am playing SNGs on Stars using a custom layout (stacking), every time I dragged it to the side and happen to bust then load another one, it puts it where the last one busted

Can someone help?

Sounds like you're using the "remember table positioning" option on the view menu.

If you want to return to a prearranged layout, set the tables you want as you usually play them, then "save custom layout," give it a name, and then you can access that layout from the dropdown menu on any table, to the right of the dealer's box.

Unfortunately, I've found that if I select a saved layout, then move a table, then the check box remains next to the name of the saved layout. To restore it, I have to uncheck it, then check it again.

I guess what you could do is, get the game started, use your custom layout, then immediately uncheck it. Next time you want to restore your layout, check it again, to instantly get the tables in place.

Save the same layout twice, under slightly different names and then alternate between the two.

Presumably, so long as they're letting you in at a fair price and you don't have reason to fear a preflop raise/reraise from someone behind you. Obviously you're going to have to play post-flop differently from how you'd handle a more passive opponent, though.

So I have taken a break from playing to study. Read books, start a new notebook, watch play online, read 2+2... I set goals for myself and looked at my leaks with honesty.

I played 5nl and 10nl before the 3 month break. My problems were playing tired or drunk(donking off $$ i grinded a week for), lack of discipline (calling with a gut feeling because i was sick of being ran over at a givin session) and horrible BR management. Plus I would jump up in limits when I tilted from a big loss.

I'm returning to 5nl and am getting PT3. (does it go that micro?) Discipline is written with a marker above my screen. Does anyone have some 'rules of thumb' for someone coming back with a clean slate after a frusterating roller coaster?

thanks...

continue to learn, and just don;t do all those things you've found out your were doing wrong. think long-term, have patience and be mentally and physically in good shape when you sit down to play poker. and stick to the discipline you are reminding yourself about. don;t forget about it after a week, or a when you are on a heater.

I'm pretty sure the consensus the last ten times "selling play money" has come up is that pretty much the only people still buying play money are scammers.

There's a slim chance you might find someone legit but it doesn't seem to be very likely.

can someone tell me if being a multi tabling nit (16tables+) in 2NL-10NL is profitable at all? I can't seem to find any threads on this subject. And is it better in 6max or FR or is there barely a difference at all only in variance. Thanks!

oh and are there any threads discussing strategy for this kind of play?

I'm sure it is profitable, but ******ed, imo. You might as well make nearly as much, if not more, by playing less tables, and trying to get better. uNL is about learning and moving up.

I don't understand how the "streaks" work in Sharkscope. I checked out my own stats and saw red/blue/green winning, losing, cashing streaks but i cannot understand it. What is the difference between winning and cashing? Can anyone explain how this works?

I believe winning means first place, while cashing is anything in the money.

Okay, really dumb question: How are pottodds calculated? I've seen it done in 2 different ways and I'm just not sure which one is the correct one.

Solution A (not counting Heros Call):
Pot ist 100$, Villian bets 50$ = in order to win 150$ (Pot + Villians Bet) Hero has to call 50$ = 3:1 odds.

Solution B (Heros call gets added to the Pot)
Pot is 100$, Villian bets 50$ = in order to win 200$ (pot + Villians bet + Heros call) Hero has to call 50$ = 4:1 odds.

Which is correct?

Anyway, I'm thinking of trying some LHE (3/6 possibly?) in Atlantic City this weekend. But honestly I'm not sure what people normally buy in for. I know in NLHE it's usually 100xbb, but what is a comfortable buy-in for LHE?

Dumb questions about live games:

Why do dealers knock the table with a closed fist before they burn and turn flop/turn/river?

Similarly, why do players do this before mucking a hand at showdown? Does it just mean "you're good"?
