This, until you get to at least .50/1. You don't really need to bluff/semibluff until you get to 2/4 or above, though.

Ok, maybe I should get that too. I have Holdem for advanced players (don't laugh) not read much of it yet though. Is any of this book of use to me at this early stage?

If you don't have SSHE, then that's the one to get. It sounds like the foundations of your game are shaky, and this book will really sort them out. You'll need to read it several (that's several) times to get the most out of it.

Agree entirely with VUcats - at this level bluffing is nearly useless. Stay in with a decent hand or a draw with the correct odds and leave the fancy play for when you're at higher limits. Do you have your outs and odds to hand, either written down or memorised? If not, that that's a big error in LHE...

I don't even play limit, and that book is awesome. Get it.

is this 6max or FR? in either case you want to bridge the gap a lot more between your VPIP and PFR. too much limping not enough raising pre-flop

also post your stats by position.

Hey guys, Here is my first 11k hands. If someone could please have a look at my info and point out where I may have leaks as I have not been going too well lately and feel there are areas where I am making the wrong decisions.I mostly play NL10 FR.

Thanks for your help!

Post these here although I'm sure Ozi or cmar will move it for you. It's a lot easier if you post a pic of them, bring up your positional stats and press ctrl+alt+prt scr. Go to paint and paste. Save the file... go to any number of image hosting sites (I use imageshak.us but there are many others) register if you haven't already, upload the image.. copy/paste the link into a post, and wahlah!

i play 2NL so i am really nitty right now, but otherwise i would love any advice that could be given to help with my game. I plan to expand my range a bit when i get to 10NL but for now it seems that everyones advice here is to play this way till you get to 10-25nl.

Had a pretty dry week and im down about 8 Buy ins so any advice is greatly appreciated. i just feel like i was on a hot streek now after back and forth so much this whole week.

115k hands, moving up soon...pi55ed off with myself for taking shots out of roll because I would currently be sitting on a rather healthy 30BI bankroll for NL25...yuk.

Anyhow, here are my stats, I think i'm being too nitty but I do mix up my play a bit...just following advice and not getting too fancy at these levels!

As you will see, my play totally changed when I took some shots because I was playing with scared money...let this be a lesson to you all

Winnings Graph @ NL10, NL5 and NL2

REAL Winnning Graph (including shots at NL25) can you figure where shots were taken?

Winnings & Stats @ NL25, NL10, NL5 and NL2

Positional Stats @ NL10

So, thanks to some cash won in some sng's played at the weekend (fancied a change) i'm sitting on around $450...still not going to move up until I hit $600 but I am willing to deposit say $40 to help me get there towards the end

Any advice and/or critism as always is welcome!

Thx,

BB

the only think i notice right away is you complete in the SB too much utg is a little too loose but that really could have been influenced by many things

completing to much in the SB leads to paying pots oop which will lose you money. my guess is most of your leaks are post flop. your biggest losses are in the blinds (which is always going to be the case even if you start crushing everything in sight) and utg which are the spots you dont want to be playing a lot from.

I feel like I've had a good month. I'm 6-tabling 6-max, and at this rate I've made $41/hr + rakeback. I'm guessing my true rate is something like $20/hr + rakeback but whatever.

Thanks Jakejackjake, I had notcied that my VPIP was quite high frm the SB. I guess I have to tighten up here and be less willing to complete the SB unless I hit my range. I also realise now that I need to tighten up more in EP as I am losing from there too.

I think ur right that my post flop game has some if not many leaks however I am working on this and will hopefully notice some difference after the next 10k hands or so.

If you (or anyone else) notices any other areas I can work on in the meatime, I would apprecite your feedback.

Cheers

What kind of stats can you keep if you only play live games? I've put together a spreadsheet including hours played, net winnings (and $won/hr), and other details relevant to the particular game played.

I'm not going to keep a notebook with me to record every detail, so my question is: Are there any other stats I can try to put together for my records, or certain trends I can keep track of, that could be of real benefit to me? Anybody else got a good system for tracking their live play?

I've learned a ton since starting to seriously work on my game. I'm still having trouble with bet sizing and reading opponents. I will post videos of my sessions later. I feel like I go through HUGE swings and I feel like I should be winning more. It feels like a daily battle of fighting all these swings. But I think I'm getting more confident in my game. Is there anything apparently wrong with my game just from looking at the graphs?

I'm on Stars so I can't even benefit from the rake!

The first thing I noticed is your vpip/pfr of 22 and 17. This is fine if you can pull it off but you are apparently having trouble reading your opponents and such. If your post flop game is not that good you could try tightening up and see if that helps.

I just can't trust my reads. I would put someone on one hand and it turns out to be totally different. I have no confidence in my reads.

I just hated NL10, hated it with a passion, people do some really funky stuff that can really put you on tilt.
