Since a straight flush draw is also a straight only draw and flush only draw they normally get chased unless the board and betting suggest the straight flush is the only out (or at least a flush loses to a better flush)or turn bets that price out the draw.

It's not really "chasing" since OTF the SF draw is a slight favorite over TPTK and only about a 6:5 dog vs an overpair.

Is there a High Hand Promo ongoing?

IMO there is certainly an attraction to the OESFD .. much more so than someone with a set.

Someone with a set is thinking 'value' since it's a made hand, so Quads would just be a bonus.

Whereas an OESFD has almost zero 'current' Showdown value even though it very easily could have as much equity as a set.

So your term 'chase' might be subject to debate a little from a 'Solver'/GTO or EV standpoint.

From an emotional standpoint, yes, Players do chase after SFD, but also from a technical standpoint they probably should be in a lot of spots. GL
