I downloaded SAT yesterday night and was able to 10-12 table competitively while my previous table count was 6.

The question is: is it worth it for a 10NL player to pay 89bb ($8.99) per month for this? Any other considerations I should take when making a relatively big leap like this in # of tables? (From 6 to 10-12)

I play on Cake so it's 36% rakeback.

depends on how well it suits you.

personally, I just stack and use a custom AKH script to move tables I want to follow out of the stack.

Have you asked in the software forum? Maybe there is a free or cheaper solution.

I don't believe there is a free version. The problem with cake is there isn't a stacking option either tile or cascade.

I'm asking less about how it suits me and more about dropping 89bb/month from my winnings (or in addition to my losses) at the 10nl.

EDIT: this AKH script, is it available for free? How many tables can you play comfortably?

you need to visit the software forum.

AHK is a free program for windows that allows you to create all kinds of complicated automation. The software forum has links to a bunch of free/shareware or cheap AKH scripts for all kinds of situations.

the one I use just provides hotkeys to move the active windows to a set of preset locations. I keep all windows in one location and play them stacked there, but occasionally I use another hotkey to move the active table to another location to keep it visible while I continue playing the stacked tables as they pop to the top. as soon I am done with the out-of-stack window, I just use the first hotkey to move it back to the stack.

I can easily deal with 16 tables with this simple setup, although I am not doing that anymore because I want to improve my game instead of turning into a robot.
