Bought in with only 25 dollars and am playing .01/.02 NL buying in with $2.00 a table.

thinking about playing 2-4 tables... with my roll being so low and really only allowing for 12 tables like this.. is this a sufficient way to play? im wanting to make the most i can as fast i can of course but don't want to push the limits.. also playing more tables will give me less of a reason to play those medium hands that i get myself into sometimes? thoughts?

def a smart move man. It is always better to play low stakes if your roll is that small and multi table it for max profits. Playing over your head in stakes will allow you to hit a bad string of cards and go broke. The only thing is if you are good enough to play at the higher stakes and you aren't worried about going broke you can give it a shot, but 2-3 bad beats will make you have to redeposit. I personally think grinding it up is your best bet with as many tables at a time as you can handle.

awesome and thanks for the tip.. played for a while at higher levels and built the roll up to 160.00.. then got in to deep with .25/.50 had huge hands and got turnerrivered and lost about everything. those poker gods arent too friendly and they struck hard in a week.. and i lost nearly everything but about 25 dollars... im definately keeping myself low now til i hit 100 then goto dime.. thanks for the great advice

np man GL with your quest. It is def doable if you can play some good poker. I turned 25 bucks into about 400 playing at .5 .10 then into .10 .25...... I am at around 2k now so keep working.

Not playing "medium" hands is just discipline related.

Playing 2-4 is fine if you feel you can handle the thought process to do it. GL.

thought process isn't the whole thing IMO. You can play perfect poker and still lose. Which is why if u wanna win successfully you need to play at limits where you can afford to eat the bad beats and let skill take over in time.

If you want to prevent what happened to you before from happening again, I'd suggest reading up on bankroll management.

$100 is still too low to avoid a significant risk of ruin (i.e., getting into an unlucky streak and losing most of your roll) at 10NL.

General consensus is that for a "normal" variance and win rate, you should be looking at 20-30 BI (buy-ins) for the new level before moving up.

You also need to move down again if you get unlucky. Move down when you get down to 10BI for the current level.
