btw my Feb graph. Variance you own me 7 BIs.

First 7k hands are NL2, the rest is NL5. Struggling to be breakeven atm.

03-02-2012 , 02:45 AM
Stilla nice graph imo.

Btw is it common to run on or slightly over EV at NL2? I am running at or slightly over EV at NL2 just like you did.

I don't know if it is common, but in fact I ran over EV at NL2 in January too. And very over EV lol. At a time I should have lost like 10 BIs more than I actually did.

Yeah that sucks. BB played that hand pretty bad, and it's a pretty clear fold for him on the turn.

You actually were way ahead here on the turn against villain's particular hand, but I don't like your raise vs his calling range. You have a ton of showdown value, but by getting it in here you are going to get freerolled a lot of the time by villain having the same straight with a better straight redraw or (more likely) spades.

He was playing 61/57/57 (vpip/pfr/3bet). Against a better opponent I would be much more inclined to raise the flop, or simply call the turn. But this guy was a total fish who would've called there with a lone overpair.

Finished work and about to play my first session of March! Wish me luck!

Btw is it a sign of the times, or the micros, that I've had to add limp/call, limp/fold, and donk bet stats to my HUD?
03-02-2012 , 01:07 PM
I've been limp/3bet in the last week or so a few times! Confuses the hell out of me, it used to mean the nuts but I think sometimes fish are just spewing because they are sick of getting pushed around but not sure atm.
03-02-2012 , 01:08 PM
This was my giraffe for Feb on Everleaf.

Not great tbh, ran below EV for a while, and half way through Feb HEM stopped working with Everleaf too, and I'd like more volume than this but ah well.

Running at 24/19/6.2 3bet 2.7 agg

I've had the same - I give them credit until I see otherwise (which is really tough giving them credit for anything) as a while back everyone used to limp AA as the 'thing to do'.
03-02-2012 , 01:39 PM
Maybe March is the month!

Played 84 hands and have hit 3 nut flushes (not paid off) and got it AI with a bigger boat!

Happy days )

Anyone playing ipoker? I have a quick question and i'm feeling a bit lazy to go and fish around for an answer. It's regarding hand histories and where they're saved/if you can just open them in notepad like on Stars or if I need a tracking program. I found the file, but they're xml
03-02-2012 , 07:46 PM
2BI session, yay.
AA vs. KK won me one.

Huge russian whale to my left tonight, with 100/6 stats (lol).
Pretty aggro too.
But, I was allowed to see a free board.
I lolled at his river shove.
Okay, his hand was suited, but he was playing ATC, even like 94o...

Took a break from poker because I thought I'd stopped playing well. Usually when I take some time off, I come back refreshed and start winning right away. Well I signed up for the $11 shorthanded tourney at bwin, 140 players, and was winning almost every hand I played, was in 4th place with 50 players left with a 100 BB stack. Then I get KK, raise, get 3bet by one of the stupidest idiots I've ever seen, I 4bet, the moron shoves and shows TT. Flops the set. I lose 2/3 of my chips and basically bubble the thing.

I'm going back to my break now.

Value Jam vs a Fish - Against someone semi competent this would be terrible (since nothing worse calls)

???

Calling 100% here right? An 8 is way too unlikely. If he does have an 8 whatever.
03-03-2012 , 11:31 AM
I would bet more on the flop and pot the turn to get it in. the only hands that beat us are 8X (unlikely, but possible given his play) TT, JJ right? he never has QQ-AA he would have 3bet these pre. you are getting 2-1 on your call I think there are worse hands that do this, smaller pairs, call.

KK

Spoiler:
I know, so f'n sick..

edit:

But yes I call 100% here. Felt like a "you're trying to steal my blinds, I'm going to play back at you"
03-03-2012 , 11:36 AM
seriously? LOL. Im glad its such small stakes. Make a note and keep playing with this super passive guy. Im teh button to his BB? I am going to steal 100% and fold if he raises. I will easily make my $2 back and more just by staying here. he will over value top pair hands too - clearly. so when you make a set or better you will stack him every time.
