That's Wenger for you - his team talks always could get a bit surreal at times.

LOL

So, I was playing badugi on FT day before yesterday $1/$2. Short handed, guy comes & sits with $2K buyin, I think there were 4 of us including him.

Him: "Do I need to get a rainbow hand in this game ?".

Me: "WTF ? are you levelling me ?".

Me: "Haven't I seen you playing these tables before, I'm sure I recognize your SN ?"

Him: "No, I never played it before".

Him: "Is JT83 3 suits a good starting hand ?" and so on ...

He actually seemed a reasonable guy, so I did answer his questions for the next few minutes as we were playing.

Turns out it was this guy:

i dont think people who play badugi realise that no-one else has a clue wtf goes on in that game. must be some soft action though. LHE HUHU dont get much action, so they mainly sit around all day waiting for action.

nom and qft lol

also after seeing a replay of MOTD how any united fan can take pride in that performance i do not know. Im all for a win is a win but being proud of scraping a win against west brom. In a game where you were dominated. In my experience with football fans there are a few groups

1. They enjoy general footy but dont get wound up
2. Are hardcore fans and follow their team anywhere [ie relegation etc]
3. Are hardcore fans [until they start losing]
4. Know nothing so support whoever the no 3 support
5. Follow their team but can admit "**** we were shite"
6. Follow their team and every performance was a great one and only got beat due to the ref

Uniteds fans tend to fall into groups 3,4 and 6, which is why in general they are disliked.

A quick review of the united game would be

[ ] solid rooney goal
[x] keeper fluffs a rebound from rooneys head
[x] Neville gets away with a terrible tackle which should of been a sending off
[x] WBA own the pitch
[x] Worst penalty ever
[x] united scrape a win with a good header from a small man

TLDR FU united

No noone was hurt here as far as I know.It was a slow flood with the water just relentlessly creeping higher and higher.People had enough time to move their stuff if they wanted to and to evacuate from the areas likely to flood before it happened.

They reckon 400 houses ended up with water above floor level with another 800 having water in them but below floor level. Most of those affected were flooded 2 years ago in our last "1 in 100 year" flood.

We have helicopters delivering food as it is the only way into town at the moment. The main road into town might reopen tomorrow if the bridge passes an inspection in the morning now that the water has dropped a bit.
