Cash or SnG? real big doubt for me right now

i've always been a cash play since june when i made my first deposit

33$,

reached 210$ in like 3 months coz i didng play 2 of them

in NL2 and NL5

i was extremely beginner in june coz i learned the rules in april

so i've been always a cash player. and i had it firmly decided. at least for the first year of my career.

have very few clue about sng.

i had some experience with Double or nothing sit and go (which i didnt like)

but of a sudden, like 10 days ago, i experimented for influence of a friend one 27man 3,40$ and my very first attempt, havent played anything but cash since june, i finished in third, cashing 14$

then in less than 30 SnG of 27 man (mainly, but 2 tries of 45 man and 2 of 18man)

i won 3 times (even my first attempt at 45man)
second twice
third twice
cashed more 1 or 2 times

having a nice ROI so far

and never having done specific study (only some, long ago, to DoN's)

and without no really practice whatsoever at all

without any Heads up practice also (which i will do a lot if i decide bbecome SnG player)

im then considering to try SnG.

imagine if i read everything available and pratice some 200 to get experience? if i had positive ROI so far in a reasonable amount if i work hard it can be improved surely

but there's some problems:

1- advantage of cash is: if i want to play just 40 minutes i can.
(SnG is much more demanding in this aspect)

2- advantage of cash is: if the energy or my internet goes broken. i dont lose ANYTHING, (unless im involved in a big pot in that exactly moment) [in a sng i could be losing 8-10 BI's if i become a multitabler in SnG too)
(if i become a 10$ buy-in sng player it could be 100$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

3- i have no concrete plan yet to SnG

my first step plan for cash is/was:

80 hours a month (most i have available), 12 tabling

108k hands a month, which, according to my calcules, would mean like 500$ a month with a 4.5BB/100 in NL25

in SnG i have no idea how many tables i'll be able to play, so far im just doing 1... probably i will become automatic later like in cash and play 8-10 tables at once (i have played 24 tables comfortably in NL2)

but one thing is for sure: 80 hours a month. i cant risk much more than it

and i have no idea how calculate a ROI or winrate for SnG

to know if will be able to make like 500$ or more in SnG with that same amount of time (80 hours a day) in probably 10$ SnG

thanks in advance, pls comment these 3 problems and give other suggestions

also:

this questions:

What are the disadvantages of Cash and of SnG? in your opinion. i said the advantages what would be the disadvantages?

Sng attempt of Plan

80 hours a month, lets say 7 tabling.

buy-in 5$

in every 2 hours 7 tourneys then

40 x 7 = 280 * 5$ = 1400$ would be the investment

now lets talk about ROI. what is a high ROI of professional players? and ROI from good players? and a ROI from average players? how many %?

so i my would profit would be = (1400$*roi)/100 ?

SNG ROI Expectations - Today's 'Tougher' Fields.

Way Back in 2005 some of the SNG Pros from 2+2 did a review of 100,000 SNGs at various buy-in levels and came up with the following chart of Sit N Go ROI expectations for winning players.

$11s - 25% ROI

$20s - 20% ROI

$33s - 16% ROI

$55s - 13% ROI

$109s - 10% ROI

$215s - 7% ROI

Online poker tournaments at Titan PokerIn the years since this survey was published a lot of changes have taken place. These include the US legislation which has taken many purely recreational players from the game, the growth of training sites and websites such as SNG Planet, and the availability and common use of poker software tools - we have summarized these in our article asking Are The SNG Games Becoming Tougher

The common consensus is that these numbers have been reduced and that today’s chart for solid winners should look like this:

$11s - 20% ROI

$20s - 15% ROI

$33s - 10% ROI

$55s - 8% ROI

$109s - 7% ROI

$215s - 6% ROI

Playing $5.50 tourneys if you can get 10% you win 55 cents a tourney is probably the easiest way to calculate it.

So using your figures 0.55x280 = $154

20% would be $308

hope it helps

soo

40 times a month(80 hours each tourney 2 hours), 7 tabling
11$ buy-in roi 18%

7*40*11*0,18 = 544$

is it correct?

The arithmetic looks sound. Not sure about the 2 hours per tourney as I don't know what you play. Is 2 hrs an average or a max?

you may well get more tourneys in than you think. You are going to bust out of some early. Depends on how you are going to approach them
