Why is it that there are so many limpers in live poker? How can I overcome this and beat the 1/2 games? Isolation?

1. Because they are bad.

2. Raise big with big hands and bet aggressively for value; overlimp in position with speculative hands to see cheap flops and when you get the occasional monster bet aggressively for value.

3. Betting aggressively for value will isolate but it's secondary to extracting value.
